It's been 239 years since you Americans declared your independence! Since then, slowly, with a lot of effort, you've ended slavery, given women and minorities the right to vote, and recently made strides to empower LGBT people to live as equal citizens. What a complex and interesting history it's been. I thought it would be nice to make a thread to celebrate all things America and just enjoy something about your country for a day, as opposed to all the hate we usually throw at it! So say something nice about the US! Bonus points if you colour your comment post like the flag!
