A McBurnie is a "fake" Ferrari. It's an American-made kit car with a Corvette engine and a new, Ferrari-like body put over the frame. That said, an authentic early-80s McBurnie is still a collector's item. If the car's in excellent shape, and it's one of the kits modeled on the 1972 Daytona Spyder from Miami Vice, a quick look through the web shows that it can go for as much as $30,000, but since most cars that old aren't in that good a shape (and the number of middle-aged guys who still want to be Sonny Crockett is growing ever smaller!), expect about half that. That's just a WAG, I'd call an automobile auction house and tell them you've got a McBurnie Daytona Spyder Replicar, Miami Vice colors, in good condition, and see what they tell you. And yes, use an auction house, (they get a commission, they'll tell you the highest price possible), not a used car reseller.

Random fun fact: You can see a 14-year-old version of me in the pilot episode of Miami Vice. I'm an extra in a beach boardwalk scene as Crockett & Tubbs walk past.

I twisted my neck weirdly today when leaving for work, resulting in sharp pain for the whole day when trying to turn my head. Arghh.
