What Is On Your Mind?

Lately I've been mulling over moving to a better part of the country for both meeting people and being able to just be who I am. This dirty little oil town isn't exactly the most open-minded or accepting place in Canada. I just don't know where I'd move to, but I have enough saved that I could probably move about anywhere I want to.

I'd just feel bad for leaving this job so soon after starting it. I've only been working with this company since the end of May.

 

God I'm so damn tired...helped my mom move to her new house and I'm beat...and I have to go to work...ugh

 

I might of broken the edit button....whoops. LOL.

 

I am up with murder on my mind.

I live in a pretty quiet neighborhood, but there is one dark spot: there's a materials recovery "quarry" right on the other side of a narrow greenbelt of forest. It's basically a stone pit where construction companies collect all the stuff from demolition projects that might be re-usable: stone, steel, ground-contact woods, that kind of thing.

At 4-fucking-30 AM on a Sunday morning, a horrible mechanical screaming covers my whole neighborhood as an overloaded side-dumper tries repeatedly to convince multiple metric fucktons of railroad steel to fall out of his truck and onto the ground. It goes on and on and on.

Imma gonna kill something.

 

Ya, I can't imagine living in a smaller town in the prairies. Even the larger cities here suck for this sort of thing.
I'm in Winnipeg, and it's pretty brutally conservative on the whole, but at least I've got the more open minded communities of Osbourne Village and Wolesley.

Still, I wouldn't go rushing into moving until you are on very level ground and are absolutely certain of your decision, and best of luck to you no matter what you decide on doing.

 

Speaking of murder, apparently Jack the Ripper has been identified.

Yay. I get to make the three hour trip down south for work all by myself. Awesome. I guess my foreman wants to take his personal vehicle.

Took my dog down to the park and played frisbee with him until he dropped. (Almost literally lol he had to lay down in the shade, but he had the biggest smile on his face!)

He also made friends with a wild rabbit, it was so cute.

 

If only the matrix technology were real, I'd just upload Calculus II directly into my brain. (Plus I'd be able to do really sweet martial arts!)
