What Is On Your Mind?

Oh my god, the Ren fair can be so fun. I used to always go to the one here in Las Vegas. 1 weekend in October. They travel around the country. 1 place I don't think the stopped in was Louisiana (or at least the southern part. I was there for the Ren fair... that lasts for 6 weeks! They don't travel around, the group is based solely there. The have actual building strictures that are permanent and have workshops for 6 months leading up to the fair.
Why do I know all this? Because of my big mouth. I said to (my now ex-gf) that I loved the Ren fair. And she took me to one in New Orleans (just outside of it actually) and I had fun. But she took that to mean that I wanted to be part of the cast. Meaning I get up at 6am, drive for 1.5 hours, put on clothing that... lets just I could not feel my bladder (again the ex put it on tighter than is should have been), stand around for hours in freezing weather (this is November- December), leave my cat for 2 days (I want hit myself for that)... just too much goddamn work.
Fun to go to. It can be hell to be part of it. If you can, visit the one new NOLA... it's huge and they are fun. Or come to Vegas in October, it's smaller but still loads of fun. I want to wear this outfit I have in mind... but it's gonna cost like $700-$800... and I'm sure how long I can carry the big ass sword strapped to my back.

 

Oh dear, I'm going through the same stuff with an Egyptian art history class, lol. But I haven't minded it too much yet. I worry for the exams though lol

more than anything I'm just fed up with college as a whole. I want to learn something practical that will help me make more money so I can afford to do the things I want to in life. money doesn't buy happiness but it certainly fucking helps. I wish I'd dropped this class along with calculus but then they would've taken my scholarship away since I wouldn't have had a minimum of 15 credit hours, which is bullshit. I can manage the workload of 4 classes no problem, add a fifth class and I can't. things conflict, more important and interesting classes take priority

 

Ugh, I really need to stop cutting back on my sleep. I tend to stay up really late and then set the alarm somewhat early because if I wake up late it feels like such a waste of the day. It's not a good habit, I feel like crap when I wake up.

 

What stops you from going to bed earlier?

And I really really really love my girlfriend. Too bad she's not one for forums, else I would drag her here.

 

It's a habit thing I guess. It's hard to say exactly but I think it has something to do with getting as much time out of the day/evening as possible.

 

Starting a workout plan very soon, so I'm getting in the habit of eating healthy, at the right time, and using the supplements... I tried the fat burner supplement yesterday, an holy fuck, I've never been so awake in my life... Turns out a "fat burner" is just a cocktail of potent stimulants. I took it at 3PM and could still feel the effects at 10 when I was trying to go to bed...
I guess it will e nice when I start working out a lot, but damn......

I really want our kitchen to have a facelift. a friend of mine is very handy lady, she is her own handyman in her self. she can help

but! for some stupid reasion the cabinets are crooked. I mean, it's like they have overbite in some places, it goes over to where the wall is. and then one drawer is falling apart.
that sounds harder to fix than countertop replacement. and making a furnature to replace this jerryriged POS that thinks it is a kitchen island with cabinet space.

I GOT A CALL BACK FROM THE JOB I REALLY WANTED!

My interview is tomorrow! I really hope I land this one...it's super flexible, I only work 2 days a week, but I can pick up more days whenever I want if like my art commissions are slow.

I just really need some steady and reliable income right now...I've been so anxious and unable to sleep because I've been worrying if I'll be able to make enough to cover my bills. Especially around con season when NO ONE buys art.
