The "Bad Mood" Thread

I remember back when I used to buy manga.
its sad that the industry is dying, not just because folks (like me V_V) just read it for free online, but because of all the costs that go with it, printing, ink, special pens and pencils, all the paper, paying the shippers and translators and printer companies, etc , etc.
And as much as I love the feeling of holding the book in my hand and feeling the pages, I don't see manga sticking around (at least here) unless they go digital. With all the amazing software available now, they could flawlessly duplicate hand made manga and sell them as ebooks (I understand that won't halt piracy at all, but that's already an issue as it is). I feel they would lose a lot less money this way simply because all those costs I mentioned would be gone.

 

@Misskin my my darling you must have been out of the manga loop for sometime because I have never seen so many publishing companies as I have in the past couple of years. But yes they are doing digital mangas/ebooks but I am not spending the same price for a digital copy when I can get the hard copy for the same price or cheaper.
I prefer hard copies because it's not the same reading it as an ebook. It feels so weird.

 

Same here. I like both mangas and videogames to be tangible. And let's face it, there's nothing like removing the plastic and sniffing those inky new paper-y smelly shits XD
And here you have to purchase carefully since some edits and printers fuck up comics big time . My MLP comics have glue in them in some spots and just separating the pages was a leap of faith, watching some spots tearing and... oh, it hurts my kokoro. Also others come with pages that look that they had a rough time in the printer with ridges on the paper, weird weird stuff.
It's simply a matter of quality. Physic formats will always always always beat the hell up of digitals, because they are more like a "exclusivity" at least for collectors.

 

lol yes, I haven't been keeping up with manga events at all.
I don't think they could justify selling digital for hard copy prices

 

He's been incredibly remorseful today, I guess maybe he needed to sleep on it to understand just how over the line he went. My mom has reassured me of her safety, pretty much anything and everything that could be used as a weapon is going into my room, which has a shiny new key lock on it with one of the keys staying with me and the spare being in her purse without his knowledge, and she has her stun gun somewhere he doesn't know and likely won't be able to find just in case, which makes me feel a bit more comfortable. But holy fuck is this ridiculous.

My glasses broke, and my knee is in pain since morning due to old injury "reactivating" itself. (Torn anterior cruciate ligament in my right knee :s From time to time something just "shifts" itself in it, and it hurts like hell.)

And the worst part is that I know why too. I get the whole "people won't like/love you until you like/love yourself", but it's so much easier said than done. That, and I'm a boring, mopey loser anyway. /vent

I'm don't agree with this. Just loving yourself won't make partners rain. You have to offer something. Relationships now a days are like exchanges; you have that, I have this, ¿deal?
Sad to say it, but if any of those advices actually worked, I'd be covered in girls and boys (even being hetero). That's the shitty part of now-a-days, being treated like goodies, merchandise or however you wan't to call it.
But, eventually you'll find someone that will love you and that's it. It's even harder to hear this than "If you do this, you could blah blah blah", waiting is hard and waiting on the sofa doesn't count. So get out, make some friends and wait for love to come.

Lol darling that would have been the first thing on my mind if there was actually something worth any value in all her crap. Why do girly girls have so many damn clothes and shoes. I just have a pair of jeans, gaming t-shirts and a pair of trainers and I am happy.

 

I want to give up sex, I'm sick and tired of this shit.

 

I want to give up on school work. Too much effort. I wanna be lazy forever.

 

And that is also where I fall short, unless affection, soppiness and companionship are valid things to offer.

I've really just given up tbh. I seriously can't see why anyone would like me. Plus, I'm really too shy and nervous all the time and constantly scared that if I'm more open, I'll scare people off with weird. That, and...



God I hate whining, but I literally have no other way to vent. Sorry.

 

I'm scared shitless about starting my new job tomorrow.

My superviser is extremely nice and I like her a lot...but I don't know anyone else who I'll be working with.
Also, the place is really understaffed, so they have no one who can give me one on one training...I was basically told that tomorrow I'd just have to jump right into things and eventually get the hang of it.

Good thing I tend to pick things up quickly.

But I'm still upset that I have to be there by /six goddamn thirty/

 

It's okay, we all need our lil' vents every now and then. You just live your life and someone will come eventually.
