HUGE FUCKING POST WARNING.
So, I'm in NC, have been since Thursday, and holy shit has it been enjoyable. The night I got up here me and my crush hung out for like 6 and a half hours, went to an Asian market and stocked up on a fuckton of candy while being goof balls, then went to this fucking amazing comic/collectibles/TCG store next door that we probably spent an hour in just fucking geeking out at everything (I mean, come on, they have fucking USS Enterprise plushes. ENTERPRISE PLUSHES,) and then I took part in her start of fall Pumpkin Spice Latte ritual and snagged a few books at Barnes and Nobles (the guy who was working she had no problem going up to and asking help for finding the book I was looking for, but when it came to looking for hers she absolutely refused, she actually walked past him at one point and he was like "can I help you find anything else?" and she just blew on past saying no and I was like "she's being difficult," which got a nice little grin,) and then after that we walked around the mall that the Barnes and Nobles was in until the showtime for Guardians of the Galaxy, for which we had the entire theater to ourselves. She's one of those girls who no matter how invested she is in a movie, if a sad scene happens she will more then likely start crying, so she did at the start and I wrapped my arm around her and ten minutes later we were pretty much cuddling for the rest of the movie, it was glorious. Then Friday I hung out with her some more, we were suppose to go to this carnival thing but she had a lot of shit happen earlier in the week that caused her to shove her schoolwork to the wayside and it was due that night so we just hung out in her room and listened to Welcome to Night Vale and some music while she got her work done and pretty much just did nothing, which was a pretty great time. And then that night I met up with my good friend and ex who had a shit day at work and wanted me to tag along with her to this little backyard bonfire party thing, so I went and the drama that ensued was pretty entertaining, apparently the party was for her friends 21st, and her friends boyfriend by the time we had gotten there was already plastered, had hit on the couple other girls there, stolen her money to go get more liquor for himself as well as her smokes and came back to give her $7 in change, then got even more drunk to the point of passing out, everyone helped get him into the passenger seat of his truck so the designated driver could take him home but he snapped out of it and start swinging and everyone and it got to the point where it just wasn't worth it, so he drove off, came back one time for absolutely no reason and everyone told him to go the fuck away, and then he came back again and left with two other drunkards, and thankfully they got pulled over instead of killing themselves but still, fucking morons. So that was pretty entertaining to have going on in the background while we just sat and talked, didn't even drink anything which seemed appropriate considering the circumstances, and then we left the party after like an hour and just ended up talking for a few hours in my hotels parking lot which was really nice. And then yesterday I hung out with another friend I hadn't spoken to in years just because life happens and we just dropped out of touch, but he got married and has a kid on the way and I caught him up on damn near everything that happened since we last talked and it was a pretty good, and he got really into Halo because of me so I ended up playing a 1v1 with him in Halo 2 (which I haven't touched in fucking years,) and still ended up stomping him pretty good. And now I'm just waiting for Emma (good friend/ex) to text me to let me know when to swing over to get her since me and her are going to go catch a movie.
But yeah, being up here has made me feel fucking normal again, and with Lizzy (crush) just the way we've interacted with each other up here it's clear as day that she likes me a fucking lot and I think because of that I might try to make a move on Monday when we hang out again, who knows tho.
