The Video Game Thread

We do have multiplayer, of a sort. It's just random people 20 levels higher than me grinding away. Nothing exciting. We can't interact other than shooting the same things. And I have no crucible, so whatever. It's Halo Online as far as I'm concerned.

 

Yeah, that's partly why I wasn't taken in by Destiny.
Except I would actually prefer just Halo Online instead of all the other ripoffs (IMO) that make up Destiny's gameplay.

 

It feels pretty sparse. Any time I set aside an hour or two, and I'm ready to play, I end up just sitting here or on tumblr instead

 

You know what, I fucking hate being new/low level in games where longer play time = better stuff. Like, there's no fucking way to beat players who have loads of better stuff just because they've played longer or got the game earlier. I seriously don't get the logic behind it.

@AkaiKitsune I know that feeling. But I think it's marketing. You know that you lack stuff so you continue playing to get it. If it's only a question of skill you might stop thinking that you are outclassed and will never have a chance. At least it is what I think.

 

I know, but I'm terrible at games now. I used to be godly at them, but I just ran out of time to play them all the time so I suck now.

 

It's not so bad for me since I'm pure PvE/"carebear". The only person I compete with is myself, and ultimately, that's the greatest opponent.

 

I'm the same. I abhor pvp and will avoid it like the plague. Not for me, but I love watching other people play it. I think I just had too many negative experiences, teasing, and people telling me to "go slit my wrists" and "l2p nub". I don't need that when I'm playing to relax. So, I prefer pve and puzzles.

 

So did we ever get that minecraft server up?

 

Not that I saw. Would be interesting if we could get one though.

 

Indeed. A server just for the forum would be epic.
