The Video Game Thread

Whenever I do a Public Event run on Destiny, I feel like my character is an omen of what's about to happen.

I'll just sit at the highest spot where everyone can see me. Just watching. Waiting. The event hits, and once its done, I disappear, leaving only the red trail from my Sparrow.

Not out yet. Seems interesting but I'd have to try him first. I used to really like him.

Also I wish I could get a fireteam together on Destiny, I really wanna get to the raid but it seems impossible.

 

Been playing Katawa Shoujo the last couple of days. Not really into the dating part, but it's an interesting visual novel game. Guy has a weak heart, goes to a special school for people like him, people with disabilities, and you can work your way up to dating one (per play through) of a handful of girls, each with their own disability, like Emi, who lost her legs, or Hanako who is badly burned (played through the first yesterday, the second today). The backstories on the girls are real tearjerkers so far, even pretty sad for the main character. And it's not a typical "dating sim" where you basically just bang whoever. The relationships develop over time (in a linear manner), and while sex is involved (high school seniors) that part can be turned off if you wish.

 

If anyone would like to see a complete playthrough of this game, feel free to check out a youtuber called "MillBeeful", I really enjoyed watching it.

 

Just finished Hanako's good ending. Damn it. Too much of myself in there. I'm just... yeah.

Doing it with my Hunter as one of our crew members missed the raid date, so we're doing it again for him. So far, I've gotten nothing but Ascendant Energy. Bullshit drops man!

EDIT: Just finished, absolutely nothing but energy and shards. No new weapons or armor.

 

Finally I found the Calice of Unfairness and ridiculously hard. You sail through a Hack&Slash and the last boss is guitar hero, Drakengard 3.
The last notes you can't see or hear, no need to say that you fail 1 note you die XDDDD
I get the Drakengard 1 reference, same stuff but it's actually visual with no music at all. But that doesn't mean that you can put invisible and non-hearable notes in the final boss.
Square-enix, access game... you can go suck an H-bomb.

 

I have such an appreciation for kids games. I played Skylanders Swap Force when it was out and sank tons of money into it. Today I got my pre-order of Trap Team. I played a little of it but not much time. The other thing I've been playing lately is Diablo III, ROS on XB1. My Skylanders is on Wii U so that I can play on the gamepad when Kranix is using the TV.

Found a new hidden area in Destiny. A place called The Terminus.

 

Still waiting for my 3DS game to be delivered. Man British delivery times suck or the postal service hates me. Because I never get my packages on time.

Finished Shadow of Mordor in 2-3 days including almost every side quest. I need to get a life.

 

I'm saving it for after Destiny, Smash Bros, and Reaper of Souls. I have to get that as well as Alien Isolation. Then there's Pokemon next month and I need to get a Wii U for Smash Bros and a PS4 at some point as well.... too much gaming lol. My main priority is my love life, ergo my boyfriend and flying out to spend time with CreativeNameHere. Somewhere in between those two I'll play a few games I'm sure :3

 

Why are all games going to digital downloads I am an old fashioned geek that wants her hard copies of the games she likes. *cry*

Yeah, I prefer the downloaded games for PC, because the people who make the games aren't controlling when/how new pc's come out, and can't make it "system exclusive" where you'd have to buy another copy when you upgrade your computer. Really, the console practices have largely turned me off to the console market entirely. Lacking backwards compatibility, eliminating the plug-and-play nature of console games, and requiring an internet connection are all just pretty filthy tactics which don't benefit the gamer whatsoever. The fact that they are doing it JUST because they know they can get away with it is sad and kind of sickening.
