Okay, for a bit of background, I was given a Medical/Administrative Discharge from the Navy.

They're not being picky. They're having standards. If they weren't determining people's eligibility with the psych tests... well they wouldn't have psych tests. They don't want people who they can't trust, or people they can't predict. You want to know that all your soldiers are mentally healthy before you send them off to kill people. As far as a dislocated shoulder, they never 100% heal. Once you've dislocated it, it's easier to dislocate it again in the future, which is a risk they can't take, legally or on the battlefield. This is especially true if this was caused by standard exercise. Finally, they want you off psych meds because they can't guarantee you will have access to them on the battlefield, they can't be sure they will continue working, and they don't want to have the risk of a soldier who stops taking their meds. Really, they don't want you to be on ANY ongoing medications (with a few possible exceptions that I may not know about).

This sounds more serious than just a cold or flu @SnowLycan . Especially nosebleeds... I'd go to a doctor for a good, solid check-up what's wrong if I were you.

Yow. If the nosebleeds are just from the mucus membranes drying out, a saline nasal spray might help. (I have to have one in the winter or I get nosebleeds constantly.)

Well my mum said she'll take me to the clinic tomorrow. She wants to double check if I can have antibiotics with my current medication.

So, I just found out that an acquaintance of mine had a panic attack that basically caused one of my dear friends to have a car wreck that nearly ended his life.
I am beyond the point of calmly talking to this person. Her actions nearly caused a friend to die. I am at the point that if I ever see here, there will be nothing holding me back from punching her straight in the face.

Would you say the same if she had a heart attack? Because she has just about the same amount of control over that.

    Yes.
She is one of those people that even if you were on your death bed, she would try to make it all about her. She has no regards for anyone else but herself.

I realize they have standards. However, they did this test while he was in the middle of the first month of basic. Which he chose the wrong answer to, and has since had depression because of it.

But we're not at war. I'm sure if we were, they wouldn't care. Well, they'd care if they had a murderous psychomaniac or if someone was paralyzed and everything else, but still.

Anyway, I'm done talking about it. I just want my boyfriend back home safe so he doesn't have to deal with all the stress of being overseas.

Yes, ongoing psych exams are more effective than one-time exams. And we are at war. Right now.

I don't think fighting ISIS is war. More like loose ends. I'd rather we just take everyone and just bring them home. There is no point.

Just because it's not another country doesn't mean it's not a war. These people have made threats, and have the capability to carry them out. They have invaded and taken over parts of other countries, some of which are our friends, others of which, not so much. We are literally fighting an army.

(I'm not here to argue, but I find it so amazing that someone whose mate is in the military can downplay a war.)

Oh no I over slept so I have missed the opening for the clinic this morning. Open clinic is 8am to 10am, book appointments can be two weeks from now.

Look there is other stuff going on in our relationship and I'm really kinda bummed about it right now. I don't know what they do but I don't believe it's war. It's centralized, sure, but I'm getting fed up with us having to go over there to punish children and protect our perverted freedoms.

*end rant * once its an atucal war, then I'll notice. For now I only care about me and my boyfriend's relationship and if there will even still BE a relationship.

Dunno why I bothered getting out of bed today. Everything I have tried to do has just gone wrong, and then when trying to explain something to my partner she takes it the wrong way and ends up crying :/ FML today.

Yeah costs me like £40 minimum to get from Durham to Manchester and back, more if I actually want to get a train on to Chorley were my partner actually lives.

Blargh I can't drive so it is my only method of transport to far away places. You'd think they would make it easier and cheap to ride on public transportation.

you would think. but it is one of the easiest ways to get money from people. around me, there is no trains that a person can take without needing to drive. the same is true for buses and planes.

a round trip plane ticket from Pittsburgh, PA to Groton, CT (~800 miles) is over $450.
