The Video Game Thread

okay, so the evil within is the only true horror game I've played in a while. I've played some "scary" games, but that's just it, most of them are just jumpscares. a true horror game makes it so you almost constantly have a foreboding feeling and genuine unease as you play. You don't want to continue into the next area and you know you don't have any supplies in case something attacks you. This reminds me a lot of the original resident evil which is one of the other top horror games on my list, coincidentally the evil within was produced by the same producer that worked on resident evil. if you want a truly scary game that has atmosphere, an interesting story, and makes you unable to sleep after certain chapters then get the evil within. if you want a few cheep thrills and jumpscares, go play five nights at freddy's

I know what bull@&*% is that? WiiU only. "To bring it to a wider audience". No more like, "We need another fan base to sell the WiiU to"

 

More like "no one else was going to fund this game so it wouldn't have been made otherwise"

 

But it is bayonetta who the heck wouldn't fund that. I love her short hair in this one. Purr.

 

Does anyone play Warframe or Blacklight Retribution on PS4?

 

I play warframe on pc.

 

I play Warframe, on PC though. Not having a console to play with everybody around sucks, eh?

 

I played warframe right at open beta and it was fun while it lasted but I find myself going back to ME3 multiplayer.

 

Same I've played warframe since the very beginning and I like how they have gradually improved it.

 

Yes, thank you. There's nothing better than a game that gives you the adrenaline rush when you're hiding and waiting and thinking, instead of when the thing jumps out. That's not to say jump scares are bad, but they're much more effective when you've been silently shaking in fear for the past ten minutes, and instead of being the beginning of something horrible, it makes you feel like you just died, which is both the most horrible thing, and the end of the horror. If a jump scare doesn't leave you with a deep feeling of calm and relief, as well as horrible anxiety, it's doing it wrong.

 

So basically "no" ok.

 

Alien isolation is awesome. But am I supposed to find the xenomorphs sexy?

Too bad my PC barely meets even the minimum specifications required xD

 

Any one excited about the new Pokemon games that are coming out in november?

 

Hell yes. I'm just scared about what they're going to mess up. So far, the remakes have been amazing, but their track record has really been bad lately as far as decision-making goes.

 

I've not been paying much attention. This generation is just meh to me.

 

Pokemon fighting game is what I have my eye on. I wanna see the game mechanics they use.

 

Well it looks like it's going to be a regular arcade fighter... in arcades... in japan...
