What Is On Your Mind?

What a time to have a kind and loving sister. Let her know she's loved and appreciated and missed and she's going to be okay. I don't know enuough about US federal and state law so I can't imagine what the legal precedent for their situation might be, I know they're generally not as rounded and fair as the laws for heterosexual people and their children, I just hope everything resolves in a way that keeps people on the same team and still working to make the child's life better. Stick with your sister and keep being a force for good in her life, I'm sure she needs it.

Which one out of your sister and her partner can provide the best environment for the child's upbringing. If it is your sis then the little one will most likely live with her. But what ever the outcome I hope everything works out fine.

 

I can't answer that objectively.
I haven't confirmed it, but I think they'll be doing joint custody

Oh they will definitely have joint custody but a child usually lives with one and visits the other on agreed days. It's a messy situation when a child is involved. But all you can do is keep your hopes up that they come to a nice outcome between them.

 

Hopefully they can manage to put the child ahead of hurt feelings.

 

Just tell your sister to make sure she always has better internet. She'll be the cool parent.

But yeah, the whole "cheating" thing should help in that department, as well as the consideration for the kid's placement. The judge probably won't want the child to grow up in the household with the openly cheating spouse. Gives the kid bad values, and the cheater obviously didn't care about preserving the family anyway. <---What she should say to the judge.

Also, pretty sure in cases like this, legal adoption is equivalent of being an original parent, though I live in a state where there's no equal marriage, so I haven't seen it close up.

 

My rule in life is no matter how messed up things are in your adult life never let it effect the child or children in your lives.

Not to get away from the current subject, and I'm sure most of you heard already, but Wayne Static died a couple days ago.

In other news, elections close in less than an hour. This proposition 2 thing, it's going to be interesting to see how it goes.

 

Any chance you could inform the non-Americans among us about prop. 2?

 

I haven't looked into it much myself, but its basically a proposition to approve medical marijuana. But I've heard its very vaguely written and could protect drug dealers.

I wish I could go in depth with it, but like I said, I haven't read into it.

Gah. This 'not having constant internet' thing is really annoying lol.
Don't get me wrong, I don't normally like to spend hours on the computer, but I haven't had internet access for over a week now...

 

Having no internet does suck. Especially if you need to check emails and other important things.

 

Mainly, I really just miss drawing and posting my work lol.
