The Video Game Thread

I'm assuming it's not an original Wii, but yes, they have built-in wireless.

 

The originals didn't have built in wireless?

I'm looking at a black Wii to go with my Xbox One and 360.

 

Like... a Wii, not a WiiU? You know the WiiU can play all the games from the Wii right?

 

I think they do too, but I don't own one, and I'm not here to google for people

 

When the Wii came out, yeah it was wireless (you actually had to buy an adapter if you wanted to plug an ethernet cable into it) the newer Wii models (NOT the WiiU) have removed the online capability though.

 

@doit666 : Yes, the Wii, not the WiiU. If they removed the online capability from the Wii, then that means I won't be able to access the Virtual Console then? Or is that its own separate thing? I really only want to get a Wii to download a couple games from the VC.

 

If it can't get online, yeah, no virtual console.

I checked a little more into it, the one that doesn't have online is the Wii Mini. So don't get that.

Other than that I have no idea. I haven't touched a Wii in years.

 

Looked at it on Gamestop and it seems the regular Wii models have online, so that's good. Thanks guys.

I've never touched a Wii so I'm not too informed about it.

Uh, what's N7 Day?

 

An imaginary holiday Bioware invented, to celebrate Mass Effect. "N7" is sort of a rank (technically a proficiency rating), held by the character you play in the game, so they picked November 7th.

It's often used as an opportunity to announce new content. So far, they just seem to be talking about remastering 1-3, but there's a high likelihood that they'll release more info about ME4 before the day is out.

 

Ah. Never played anything by them.

In other news, I did what I had to get the Deadpool game. If I can find a copy (digital or not) to buy, I'll do that, but since I can't find it anywhere at all (for PC, don't have either of the consoles it's also on), I settle for getting it how I did.

 

The new new Pokemon games come out in 2 weeks.

 

The Lego games are on discount on steam this weekend! So I spend some of the money I got through indecent activities, and bought myself The Hobbit and Marvel Heroes. And also a gamepad (which costed way more than those games, but well...)

 

So Blizzard announced their new franchise. Overwatch. Team based FPS with the graphics of Pixar.

Really loving Greninja in this game… has so many tools to do just about everything without feeling tacky or gimmicky.

70% of this nonsense was built today. The garden FINALLY got grass leeched up to it. All the rocks mined out just to make both a road and my floating, FINALLY crafted home.

I still have to finish my Vault of Glass. I don't even have the entrance built yet.
