What Is On Your Mind?

I hate whoever designed my banks app. The default way to deposit a check has the phone take the picture of the check automatically, which require taking the picture like 5 times before it actually comes out clear. The only good thing about this is that there is a timeout before it just let's you manually do it yourself, and when I take the picture it comes out clear on the first fucking try. Also who the fuck thought it would be a good idea to have the phone vibrate when the picture is taken? "Sharp fast movements + camera = gud pics rite? YA!" Also something I just learned, to deposit 2 checks you need to login, deposit the first check, exit the app, entirely close it, log back in, then deposit the second check. Why not just you know go back to my account summary or something? "Well this spinning circle that does nothing is way better than getting money into your account." grumble...

And on top of that it's just slow as hell. But now I've got my money where I can actually use it.

 

That's why direct deposit is my friend. Less hassle. In exceedingly rare cases that I do get a check, I just go to the Credit Union that my account is with.

 

I just picked up some Bose speakers for my laptop. Holy shit. Hoooooly shit. Brb, falling in love with my music collection all over again.
I can't believe I was missing out on this for so long.

 

Quality speakers/headphones make all the difference for the discerning ear!

 

Gotta be better than the Beats Audio speakers that came built into my laptop.

 

Brand new vibe died, hopefully it was truly new and had that year warranty. Teaches me to buy sex toys from Amazon under market price.

 

I don't know about Beats, but they sure as hell are better than the built in speakers on my MacBook Pro. You'd think, with as much as they cost, that Apple would have some kind of contract with a reputable audio company like Bose or something. I can't believe I didn't realize until now how poor the quality was. Super happy with this purchase.

Me and my other sisters welcomed her as warmly as we could and its been a happy transition so far, but every now and then i'll look over to her and see the sadness shes trying not to show, but I realize its going to take a long time for her to bounce back

I just got back from my friends Eagle Scout Court of Honor. It really got me thinking about how much fun I had while I was in scouts and how much getting my Eagle has helped me, I almost certainly wouldn't have been accepted to nearly as many colleges. The friends I made were all great. The adults involved were always helpful and friendly. Good times. I got my Eagle when I was 15 and then I really stopped participating (but that's because I was going to school in new mexico). Looking back I kinda wish I could have enjoyed my last 3 years with my friends in scouting. But nonetheless the memories I have and fun I had will always stick with me.

 

My brother was in the Boy Scouts, unfortunately they never did much beyond play kickball while the adults vegged out and the annual meeting thing for the balsam race cars. As for me, I was in the Girl Scouts. It was super dumb. We literally had a badge for screwing around with beauty products, which I don't even use. Some of the girls were like 12 and had never used matches. They thought earthworms were bad for gardens and should be killed. I guess that's what you should expect when you join a group from a wealthier/snobbier town, though.

 

my boyscout troop was cool until the good scout master retired and the fundamentalist asshole took over running things. it went from a group for going camping and learning stuff to a constant sermon and just trying to force as many kids as possible to make eagle. eventually I got fed up with it, especially the new parents that came in and acted like they owned me, so I quit and when I got a call from the scoutmaster bitching me out for not showing up I just layed into him and told him all the reasons I thought he should just shut the fuck up and resign.
