In other news. I may not be on for a couple days. Nothing bad, but I'll be out of town for a thing.

 

gotta start writing a paper for a class but I keep procrastinating. it sucks because at maximum it's a 2 page paper, which means it's super fucking easy, but I'm way too bored to want to and instead I want to work on some toy designs and some other 3D projects :/

 

Oh man, I absolutely HATED having to write papers.

Presentations I can do just fine, but when I have to sit down and write. Fuck that.

 

we have to write about a family tradition/ritual from the viewpoint of a cultural anthropologist and it's really hard not to write it as a satire piece, especially considering how stereotypically white trash my extended family acts XD the other year there was more $2 bottles of wine and cases of pabst blue ribbon than there was food for the extended family plus family friends and their family

 

Gotta love family.

 

it's basically one big awkward conversation avoiding politics, religion and sports because everyone has different views, believes different things and roots for different teams. it's basically just an excuse to get trashed on cheap wine and bear and stuff yourself on food made by the only sober people in the house since they're too young to drink lol family fun with a side or six of costco's finest $2 chardonnay

There are no family traditions or rituals in my family. Last time there was a big family gathering (mom's side anyways) most of us guys, and one of the girls went to a strip club, got dances and drank.

On dad's side, it's christmas and grandma's birthday that there's a get together.

still shuffling through this paper. I can write the shit out of technical or scientific, fact based papers, but when it comes to trying to write down untestable, unverifiable information while still using "credible sources" I just draw a huge blank on what to write
