I'll probably get GTA V in 3 years when it's 50% off on a steam sale and then proceed to never play it. Like I have with every other GTA I own. #PCMasterRaceProblems

I'm definitely going to try picking up GTAV when it comes out on PC. Hoping my 4 year old rig will run it okay without having to shelf another game while waiting to upgrade it.

First person view for GTA 5. It'll take getting use to, but it makes police chases a lot more fun in my opinion. Haven't gotten into a shootout yet.

Also, the planes have a working landing gear indication light. Its a small thing, but as I love it. I can now pretend I'm a bank robber by day, and a pilot by night!

Think I'll try Skyrim once 'winter' hits for the atmosphere and stuff (its never winter or rainy in this place). Still playing Oblivion with a trillion mods and Doom here.

Ok fellow gamers, I have finally decided to purchase one of the next gen game consoles and here's where I need your help.

I would like to hear your advice on which console out of the ps4 and the Xbox one are worth buying?
Which one is best for online play?
Which allows you access to the Internet without monthly fees?
Which is the best value for money?
    Etc...etc!

Any input will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

Having neither, I probably am not the right person to ask but....

Xbox has usually had the better online play, but I hear Sony has improved a lot since the PS3 so it might be a wash.

As for as monthly fees, if you want to play games online, both systems now require a paid subscription. Both subscriptions get you a free game every month now but at the moment, it seems that Sony has been having the better freebies. For example, this month Sony's PS+ members get Binding of Issac: Rebirth and Steamworld Dig while Xbox Live Gold members got Volgarr the Viking.

As far as better value, that really is up to you. both consoles are about the same price (assuming you get an Xbox One without a Kinect) so it comes down to what games you want to play. Personally, Xbox has more games I want to play so that is what I'll eventually be getting. Do you want to play Sunset Overdrive or Little Big Planet? Forza or Drive Club? Halo or Killzone? Quantum Break or The Order: 1866? Ori and The Blind Forest or Octodad? Do you want to shell out the extra cash for a Kinect so you can play Fantasia and/or Dance Central?

Heck, maybe it'll come down to which controller feels better in your hands. It really is all up to you.

Well I dont usually play kinect games but what are the graphics like on each console? Also why has Sony suddenly gone onto having to pay to play games online? That's the reason I went PS3 over Xbox in the first place.

I don't really know, probably to help mitigate the cost of maintaining servers for people to play on. As far as graphics? I'm definitely the wrong person to ask, they look the same to me.

Well if they didn't spend time and money on forcing a constant internet connection to play their games, and let people run private servers, they wouldn't be charging to play online. I hate how they justify it as "it helps prevent game theft", even though the numbers CLEARLY show that it actually causes an increase in counterfeiting games, as people hack it and sell versions that play offline.

What are you talking about? I'm talking about people playing a multiplayer game online. Kinda need a internet connection to, you know, connect with other people.

But you already pay for an Internet provider. Why do we have to pay for Internet access again just to play games online?

As far as graphics PeasantStation4 and ShitBoxOne are basically the same.

For online play PC is the only free (ish) option.

Best for online is a tricky point because they're basically the same really. Although there aren't many console games that have community servers and even then official servers usually go offline forever after awhile and then you can not play online again.

The reason you have to pay for online play on the consoles is because that shit's expensive for Microsoft and Sony because part of every interaction needs to go through their servers. And Sony is charging now because they realized that shit's expensive.

If you're worried about console exclusives you are going to be wasting a lot of money. IMO console exclusives aren't worth it especially at launch price. The PS3 and Xbox 360 got 208 and 241 exclusives in their lives respectively (source wikipedia) but when compared to the exclusives PC gets every year and the massive backlog of exclusives that already are here and are all compatible with little trouble, consoles are nothing but a waste of money.

Also if you want any exclusive from any console that has been made (except the PS3) all you need is an emulator.

    Value for money. PC.
    Mods. PC.
    Customizability and upgradability. PC.
    Graphics. PC.
    Countless cheap games. PC.
    Countless exclusives. PC.
    Loads of free games. PC.
    1080p+ 60+fps. PC.
Mouse and Keyboard or Xbox/PS4 controller. PC.
Having a computer for school and other stuff. PC.
    GabeN. PC.

PC is the master race for many reasons.
