The Video Game Thread

I decided to rent Dragon Age Inquesition for XBOXONE.
I fucking hate it. It's garbage.

I hate that it's open world. I hate how you access the map. I hate the 100% useless minimap. I hate that they changed all of the controls around just to add a jump. I hate that they added stuff in your fucking way just to justify jumping. I hate the tactical camera mode. I hate how every character looks like they got covered with lip gloss and vaseline. I hate the PLOT which does not pick up where 2 left off, and doesn't make any fucking sense. And I hate that there are so many previous characters in the game, because it just seems like they're being lazy.

Garbage.
Already uninstalled.
Not worth the $4 I spent to rent it.

 

But PCs are starting to annoy me now because every damn game is going digital. I am a collecting gamer geek I WANT HARD COPIES DAMMIT!

That sucks D:. So far it's really good like omg graphics. And the little feature with poke tails and booties in the air to show where pokemon that know special moves and stuff are is cute~

And my mom is once again a weenie. She gave me money and said 'We're getting SSB4 right now go fly into the Best Buy and get the bundle'

@PrincessGustopher OMG I'd love it my mum just handed me cash to buy a new game just like that. As for the pokemon game I have played the demo just waiting on release.

 

@SnowLycan she tends to do that once in a while ^^'. I had her sit through all the challenger trailers and she wanted it as bad as i did haha. She did the same thing when Mario Kart 8 came out. She took one look went 'it's shiny...we need it in our lives' lol. I'll make a gamer of her sooner or later xD.

ahhh you in Europe? it sucks that nintendo is making you guys wait :<. cause of the whole early release last year they decided 'EU is waiting an extra week for pokemon' is really crappy x__x

 

Yeah I am in the good old UK and seeing as most of the forum goers here are in the USA or Canada you guys get all the goodies super early. I might buy a wii u with my next pay check seeing as there are a fair few games i want on it now.

There is Insurgerency on Humble Bundle, and it comes with 3 extra copies in the "pay what you want" basic package. I've already bought it xP If tactical shooters with focus on teamplay and realism are your thing, go and buy it so we can possibly play together. It's on Steam though.

I might have one free copy left, I just need to see what my friends will say about it.

 

think im gonna stick with the villager in SSB4. making random trees pop up and kill people randomly is too much fun.

also got the first DLC for mario kart 8. im half and half on my feelings for it. happy i can play as link and have him drive around on a motorcycle, but the hyrule cup only has one track based on LoZ itself and i'm not okay with that. they could have done an entire cup based around the games but instead they throw in warios gold mine (which set me off into a panic attack - hate that track) and other tracks. the other cup has some cool tracks especially the dragon one omg the details are fantastic. but now there's 3 rainbow roads and just...no...why not give me coconut mall or sherbert land or delfino plaza.

 

been seeing a shit ton of completely broken exploit filled custom game modes in GTA5 online recently, like team deathmatch where there's a parkour course and whichever team gets to the end first gets guns and helicopters and then gets to kill the other team nonstop for 15 minutes and the assholes that host it always start it with unbalanced teams so the team of 3 always destroys the team of 2

 

Dragon Age please install quicker

 

Killager seems like a decent niche pick, he zones really well, has a pretty good recovery (and can actually Scrooge, which few characters can). He just seems to have trouble against anyone with a reflector or reliable approach... And is really really hard countered by Palutena.

I've been rocking Game and Watch out of familiarity from previous games. I'd say he has the strongest offstage game of all the characters, but really lacks kill power against knowledgable opponents (UpSmash kills early and has super armour, so approaching him from directly above is a death sentence).

Really happy with the game as a whole though... Much more balanced than any previous game, and has a good balance of offensive and defensive play, and a satisfying but not insanely fast pace.

They really need to nerf Diddy in the next update though... his DownThrow-upair combo is too easy to land and makes both watching and playing (as or against him) rather boring and one-dimensional.

 

Hahaha Killager. That's a brilliant nickname for him. Him vs. Palutena is awful. My best friend used her one round and just decimated me with that friggan' shield she can send out. I just wanted to kill her with the potted tree but noooo just had to fuck him right in the bum. I do have a problem with his jump. I used Pikachu and Lucario all in Brawl and I'm so used to jumping ridiculously high and he's just 'i tried'. But his up B makes up for it.

Game and Watch is the bane of my existence with that damn bacon attack. On occasion one of my friends switches to him and we legit have to scream at him 'fuck off with the bacon'.

There's one challenge where it's fast paced. I think it was Sonic vs. Fox, Falco and someone else and it was the fastest fight ever. But I agree with you how balanced it is and some of the characters got some redemption when it comes to their speed and strength. Bowser almost complete annihilated me when a friend of mine who never played before used him.

Fuck Diddy so fucking hard. He can go burn in hell with his down throw. I played against a COM at 8 with him and it was just...filled with so much no.

The only thing I have to complain about this game is that I wish there was a mode like Subspace Emissary in Brawl. That was really fun. But Classic going up against Master + Crazy is wicked fun and with the Orders make up for it. Overall Nintendo has really outdone themselves with this.

Though I wish there would be more DLC's. It sucks Mewtwo is the only one but I am really excited to see how he plays out in this game.
