The Video Game Thread

It remains up in the air as to whether there will be additional content... Remember, a year ago, Sakurai said that there were no plans for DLC... That ended up not being true... Now he's said that there is no plans for any more paid DLC besides Mewtwo.

Two things about that though... This game seems to be selling RIDICULOUSLY well, and has been getting good reviews... That sort of thing can change plans. Also... He did say paid, which means we could be getting some smaller things for free in the updates (new stages and such).

One last thing, which is to be taken with a grain of salt, is that hackers and leakers have apparently uncovered evidence that Ice Climbers are being worked on... Of course this cant be taken seriously, but hackers and leakers have been very accurate with their info on this game so far.

I could never get second life to run even remotely well on my pc. I have no idea why. I would always shudder and freeze before crashing a few minutes in. I always wanted to give it a try, but alas, twas not to be.

Sometimes 3rd party/alternative viewers are better. I used to use one because the official viewer crapped my PC out so bad, but I got it playable with a 3rd party one. But after the most recent big update, I found that the official one worked much better than the alternative one I had.

 

I've tried a couple of the more popular 3rd party ones, still to no avail. I guess something about my system just dislikes some part of 2nd life. But thank you for the suggestion still :3

 

On the 8th gym in Omega Ruby. Game went by fast (or I just was going fast, I have a pretty good team) and I'm loving every second. Found the one secluded secret base and set up shop there. Now I just need a gang to come hang out there haha.

Right now this is my team probably up through the Elite Four (nicknames in parenthesis and current level next to it):

Swampert (Korra): Lv. 47
Mightyena (Lin): Lv. 44
Swellow (Mako): Lv. 44
Manectric (Thunder): Lv. 41
Latios (Rossi): Lv. 40
Noibat (came from WT so no nickname): Lv. 38

About 16 hrs in the game as well.

Also I named my Groudon, Crouton. My friends are disappointed in me lol.

 

I just had a thought about something cool they could put into GTA Online.

When the game was being developed, they were suppose to include a feature to where you could manipulate the game's stock market by siding with different companies and destroying their rivals' products, like some of the restaurant and fast food places or different airlines. This got me thinking about the possibility implementing that for online play. Different crews attacking and defending different companies they invest it, maybe even getting rewards when the company leads in their class.

Another thing. Each crew could have its own central bank account, where the crew lead or someone they choose controls the flow of funds.

 

I can't wait for GTA V on PC tbh.

 

The Stanley Parable and Antichamber are 70% and 66% off respectively on steam. These are two of the best games I have ever played. Go buy them, play them, ask no questions.

I went into Antichamber blind to everything about it and that had to be the most important experience in my gaming life. It was just so fucking awesome.

 

Oh, and also, Don't Starve is on for 75% off on steam right now… very fun survival sandbox game for anyone interested.

(allthough im not digging new layout with sales gonna miss a fair few major deals like the fact CIV 5 Complete editioon is 75% off atm for £8.74)

 

My ex struggled for days to catch Ho-oh in Heart Gold, when she finally did, she was so annoyed and frustrated she named it Fagbag. I was furious

It was her first experience catching a legendary. Needless to say it wasn't fun

 

Don't even remind me about Ho-Oh. I HATED this little bastard.

 

I remember on my first play through of Pokemon Blue (I was quite young), I used my master ball on a ditto….

Bought GTA V and noticed that I have 54$ (out of points) to spend in my usual shop. What to buy? ;A;

 

I've been playing a lot of Minecraft today. Making a sweet church/temple in the end with the portal as the center piece. And I'm using what I've learned with making maps in TF2 to make it look fucking incredible, which I was not expecting to happen.
