I know how you feel, I haven't started mine, but they're coming up this weekend and I have next to no time in between them. they start on the 7th and end on the 12th. So studying is killing me now.

Went out and saw Mockingjay Part 1 with my mom today. I have the song Katniss sings stuck in my head now, I am so memorizing that to sing when I'm in the mood.

 

I just remembered a bizarre thing that happened to me a few years back.

GATHER 'ROUND IT'S STORY TIME!!!

A bit of a preface: So it was my sophomore year of high school and the school recently had a hypnotist come by and do his thing. It's the greatest show the school does and everyone looks forward to it all year. Anyway my roommate and I (it was a boarding school but that's another text wall) decided to try self hypnotism and hypnotizing each other. Naturally this lead to pretty hysterical results with my roommate being the hypnotizee most of the time. But that's actually not what this story is about.

One night I decided to try some simple self hypnotism more as just a relaxing kinda thing. And something went wrong. And when I say 'wrong' I mean 'wrong for the next 2+ years.' I think while I was trying to relax there was some noise or some interruption that clearly messed me up. It wasn't an instant thing and I didn't start to feel any bad stuff until a few days later. "Get to the point asshole!" Alright, alright, geez, just trying to give some background.

What would basically happen is there would be some trigger that would then lead me to sort of reliving a combination of past (day)dreams, which after it happened a couple times they turned into nightmares. My vision would go completely black and I could 'see' as if I were dreaming. I would lose all ability to focus on the real world for a minute or two. A lot of the time I felt physical pain even though I was just sitting down normally. Like I said this went on easily into the end of my junior year. And I know it went into my junior year because of the ridiculous number of 'attacks' I would have in English class, my teacher was just trigger happy, I guess. I don't remember exactly when my last attack was though.

Except that last sentence was a lie. I seem to potentially be developing a new, similar issue although for now it's way more mild. My most recent "attack" was today when I had to back up my forklift so I could move some stuff and I just had a deja-vu like happening where I remembered exactly what I was thinking the last time I was in that lift, in that exact spot, backing up. This new one is in no way related to any fucked up hypnotism or anything like that it just seems to be coming out of nowhere.

To make things worse, I have memories of a nightmare I used to have as a child (8-12) it was recurring but very infrequently. Basically there was a grain of sand in between one of my fingers and my thumb. I would slowly roll the grain back and forth between my fingers and it wold seemingly grow somehow. And it wouldn't stop growing. The only way to stop the growth was to stop my fingers but I had no control over them. I lost a fair amount of sleep because of that dream.

I've only ever told one person about it (my best friend Junior year) and he had no fucking clue what I was on about and didn't really understand it at all.

I would really appreciate if you stop fucking with me, brain. Like seriously, just stop being a dick. I don't need another one.

It's amazing how enjoyable a bunch of songs and artists I hate can be when you skillfully weave them all together. The songs I hate the most actually become quite nice elements when you only hear 4% of them. What an impressive mix this is!
