I find it difficult just staying in the kitchen when my flatmates have people round for parties, let alone going to a bar or club or something.

The sad part about a lot of socialising I see around here is that the people getting together don't really have anything else in common than getting drunk. I'm not trying to slate people who do like to drink and get drunk here, but it just seems really superficial to me to uphold a relationship purely due to alcohol.

In fact, I can't because I am allergic to gluten, and beer is the only thing I used to drink.

I'm only going because my boyfriends' dad's band is playing there tonight.

Yeah, in the 2 years I've been with my bf, I've never seen his band play live, just practice. So I figured I'd put on my big girl pants and be social...for once...
