    I just finished my third major project at work. Each one has been about six months long. I really enjoyed the first two, but the third... ugh. Awful. Just awful. For the first two, I was asked to create something new, and given free rein. For this one, I was asked to build something out of alpha-quality bullshit parts by another division, and the guy can't write clean software to save his life, and fuck me it was the bugliest thing ever. If I known what we were getting when I agreed to use his library, I would never have done it in the first place.

    And my flunky, well, I love her dearly, but she should never be allowed near functional programming again.
