What Is On Your Mind?

Those prosthetics make me thing of automail from FMA and FMAB, which is awesome! I always wished people could have prosthetics like that cause it would make things so much easier for them.

 

That is so awesome. This is the kind of thing my dad wanted to get into when he started college. It required theoretical physics, though, and he really hated it compared to applied. So, now he's an electrical engineer technician that works mostly with turbines.

Every time I see stuff about new breakthroughs in robotic prosthetics, I'm just amazed. I'm sure it could be used for less noble things, such as military stuff, but then again almost everything can. Like that technology they made that enables you to focus on a task and perform it perfectly without having done it before... essentially it uses electricity to remove all your mental background noise and self doubt. Interesting one, thanks. I could use thing like that, maybe then my doubts in myself when it comes to interacting with people IRL would fade and I'd finally find somebody >.> I find it hard to convince myself that somebody would ever date me at all, and that's with a few people telling me otherwise.

 

As long as the engineering code of ethics holds true prosthetics aren't something to be scared of. Until they start to take over the world in a RoboCop/Terminator format they are just really freaking cool.

it is cool prosthetics are improving but technology as a whole is neither good or bad, it's only when someone uses it for something we don't approve of that it becomes "bad". I'm just curious to see to what extent body modification will go to in the future. a ridiculous amount of piercings today, a new titanium skeleton and limbs in 20 years
