==This is not supposed to come across as some tumblresque rant. This is an ongoing problem that they've been repeatedly talked to about at length==
Thanks family, I just love receiving cards emblazoned with 'Grandson' in huge letters. Every single one says it in large or accent letters. Nevermind EVERY one of these people are well aware I'm transgender and that addressing me like that is hurtful. It's not the first time. It's not even the 4th time.
But no, everyone else has to live in their own little fantasy where I'm still the boy and god forbid anyone acknowledges otherwise even when told.
I'm very easy going with this stuff. But after years of this and numerous careful explanations and requests, none listen.
The highlight was being handed a card that had grandson in 2 inch tall letters emblazoned in red on the front. Never mind the fact I'm sitting there wearing women's jeans, a tanktop, nice cardigan, and a bra (I can dream
), all with nicely done makeup and carefully curled hair. I'm not your damned grandson.
