it's like 47*F in my room right now and the water coming out of the tap is just barely above freezing

I'm pretty damn drunk right now. I look forward to reading this later and trying to remember my emotional and intellectual state. Had a friend over, along with the roommate's friend, and after a dinner of salmon, asparagus, and rice pilaf, there were spontaneous peanut butter cookies and many many shots and cups of alcohol of various strengths and flavours. I like how distant and unclear my actions feel, as though the signals to my muscles are appearing seconds later than they should, and my body is trying to compensate. This it the most drunk I've ever been and it's kind of delightful. I'm not drunk to forget my woes or ignore my issues, I'm drunk to experience distance between my thoughts and my actions. It's a weird sensation, like lag occurring between my brain and my hands. I hope I don't experience my first hangover in the morning. I'm certainly not looking forwward to that. My roommate and friends are attempting to set up a cot for one friend but I can't guarantee that it will be a successful endeavour. Most likely, they will pass out drunk on the roomie's bed. That's okay.

Friend came down to tell me how drunk interactions with other friend. He's grabbing my legs. I think I'm going to sit in his lap for fun.

 

It's the same here in Australia, only everyone is 17-19 ish hours behind. Best example of the time warp is the "where we're you on 9/11?" Question... It was already 9/12 for me when that happened!

 

I've got a contact to call tomorrow for a potential job in my field that I wouldn't have to move for... a bit nervous!

 

If you didn't forget about hydrating yourself (even carbonated sweet drinks are better than nothing, but simple water would be ideal), and maybe ate something inbetween you should be fine
... Unless you drank wayy too much. And from my experience the hangover intensity also depends on alcohol quality. Cheap vodkas/beers tend to produce more excessive hangover from my experience.
