Can anyone make a Dragon Horde community for gamers on steam?

 

Added my availability options. I'm still free any time on Sunday and Monday, though.
Also, I couldn't join a hoard steam group ;x. Coworkers and such that have me on steam don't need to see that .

 

Ah good point. I kind of forgot about that.

 

Decided to play Civilization Revolution again while waiting for my Destiny fireteam. Five minutes in, and the Eueropeans, Romans, and Aztecs have already declared war on me. The Russians don't care yet.

I feel so loved.

Problem is about google associations

 

So I was going to move my "lightly" modded Minecraft world over to a server (and then move that to my laptop) so that I could have my computercraft turtles running 24/7. But my backpack mod and computercraft don't work, so I can't. RIP in pizza.

Well it depends on what you want to do, mostly the trick is mounting your drives. After that, you just need to know where everything is and you can use DOS commands to figure it out. I know nothing about DOS and a little research got me playing some old games.

My instructions for fragile allegiance work like this:

mount c c:\games\fragile
mount d c:\games\fragile -t cdrom
c:
dir
fragile

I keep the game (a disc ISO, basically a copy of the game disc) in a folder called fragile inside a folder called games, inside the C drive. You don't want to mount your whole C drive because DOSbox will explode.
The first step there is to mount that folder as my fake C drive.
Next I mount the same folder as a fake disc, so that DOSbox thinks I'm running the actual disc. That's what -t cdrom means.
Then I just navigate to the folder on on my fake C drive, and use the dir command to check which folder (directory) I'm in and see the game's .exe file.
Then I just type the name of the file and it executes, starting the game, which it thinks is running off the "disc" in my "D drive."

 

That's a bit complicated for me. Especially since I have the CDs of the games.

 

The instructions are only a little different when you have the disc. I actually have the disc of my game as well but I've had it for so long it's not in great shape anymore.

Well dammit. The three games I actually wanted to play, they don't have.

 

I suggest DOSbox then! You can find an ISO of any game you want somewhere on the internet. Try Abandonia, they have all kinds of games you might just be able to find.

Some games have been revised to run on modern machines, you can get the original dos version of Tie Fighter, for example, on Windows 8 now.

 

Played some CSGO with @Vael yesterday was fun. Although we did get owned a fair few times. Offer is opening for more community steam gaming if anyone is interested.

 

Going to attempt Crota's End on hard tonight with the Destiny fireteam, but until then, more Civ Rev.

 

I heard that's hard to beat.

 

Normal mode isn't as long as everyone is on their A-game, the only hard part we run into is the damn Deathsinger.

Annnnnd apparently a team beat it in less than half an hour. I'm so glad my group isn't a competitive team.
