Looks like there a pretty big storm moving in on the northeast part of the U.S.

Stay safe and warm to anyone in that corner.

Luckily the UK doesn't have the bad weather that the U.S. has. Although I am still waiting on this snow that the weather report keeps saying is going to happen.

I'm kinda in the North East, more the very southern end of it in the southern end of Northern Virginia. We have rain coming tonight, tomorrow, and Thursday I think it is, and cold. Too much cold. I wanna go on a cruise to get away from the cold.

A cruise is one thing I have no interest in doing.

Stuck on a boat for multiple days surrounded by water? No thanks.

That's what ports are for. Get off the ship, do something if you want. Even if it's just shopping.

And to me, it was a whole lot of decompressing and even more relaxation.

you mean the bad weather the northeastern US has. here in the southwest we've gotten 2 snowstorms and relatively warm temperatures all winter so far (even at 8,000 feet of elevation, 2438.4 meters) the reason the northeast gets such crazy weather is that water is very good at absorbing and retaining heat energy, and with the great lakes they have a massive sink for summertime warming that then creates a lot of humidity during the winter as it releases the stored heat energy back into the air. then again they aren't in a serious drought so it's not so bad

NorEasters are horrible. Glad I live far enough away that we only rarely get them.

Even still. I like solid ground under my feet.

Unless I'm flying or skydiving of course.

Well, I felt like I was walking on solid ground while on the ship. I never noticed the motion, but everyone is different.

Yeah, this years been a friggin awesome winter. We've had only 4 days of -40, whereas we had 14 straight days of -40 last year.
It hasn't hit -10C in about a week!

I'm in the mood for not having dinner with my family. But I have no fucking control over that. I really don't get why we do it every night. I asked a couple years back and they said it somehow improves grades in children. Which doesn't make sense for 2 reasons: 1. They didn't start doing this until both my sister and I were going to school out of state, 2. Neither of us are in school at the moment. I'd love just one fucking day a week not eating together. I'm lucky if I get one once a month, and man it's great when it happens.

Some parents use it as an opportunity to kind of dig around and find out whats up with their kids. Not sure if that's what they're doing or not tho :/

I used to have this problem a long time ago... I learned to cook, became a much better cook than my parents, made my own diners, and became very critical of how they cooked. It sounds unpleasant, but I learned a very important skill, and got to make my own eating hours :)
This probably does not help, but I felt it was a story worth sharing.
