The Video Game Thread

Battlefield Hardline beta starts today, and of course my crew and I are on it.

So far, I like it. I've always liked the bank heisty gameplay like the Payday series, and Hardline's heist mode is a ton of fun. Haven't tried hotwire yet though.

 

I've been playing a ridiculous amount of fallout 3 the past 3 days and it's buggy as hell. I love it. Also now that I've got Chinese Stealth Armor and the Gauss Rifle I'm OP as all hell.

Anyone here playing This War of Mine?

 

I just make sure I save every 10 minutes when I play fallout 3, New Vegas, or Skyrim. Otherwise I'll end up losing my whole file and going crazy. I'm still miffed that I can't get into the national guard armoury bunker anymore, I saved a bunch of my weapons down there and that's where I left Dogmeat as well

 

The fire ant mission from Fallout 3 has made me not want to play it again because I, for one reason or another, cannot think of a single time I've been more creeped out than when I was doing that mission… Just thinking about it sends severe shivers down my spine.

 

Yeah my game was actually crashing like every 15 minutes or so a couple days ago because apparently my computer is better than what the default ini files were made for. AI + multithreaded CPU = death for some stupid reason. Also Dogmeat just gets sent back to vault 101 after I leave him sitting somewhere for more than like an hour, even if I leave him in my megaton house, where I want my cute little puppy.

Yeah all the mutated anythings are just terrifying, except Gob, he's cool.

 

I was playing while tired once, and attacked Fort Bannister, the Talon Company headquarters. I don't know if it was a bug but I swear all of the mercs inside were a little smaller than they were supposed to be. I slaughtered my way through the ranks of short mercs, as they rushed me at every opportunity with rippers and chinese assault rifles. It was such a surreal experience. I immediately went to sleep after that. I think I was slightly delirious from staying up too late.

 

The hype is so real.

Plus, if you haven't heard it, the opening song is super fucking rad!

Haha, for some reason I forgot to mention it was for Persona Dancing. I was keeping pretty up to date the last couple days with the Atlus releases.

 

@Brynjhulf I think there is none that would count for me... unless we take all those "forever alone" games into account ;_;

League players - who else thinks Soraka has OP heal now? I was playing against one, and we couldn't kill her and ADC in pair. Either the ADC killed us while we focused her to stop all dat heal, or she healed the ADC for more than we could damage the ADC. (and no, we had pretty strong damage, it was just heal that was RIDICULOUS)

 

I've always found that either kill lanes (my friend and I play Thresh Draven) or passive farm lanes work well. Soraka can't simultaneously deal with Threshs CC and Dravens damage, and has no meaningful CC, damage or engage to be a threat to someone who's just focusing on farming.

 

There is no game to describe my sex life.

Anyway. I've had the urge to replay the Elder Scolls games. Might dust off Morrowind tonight and give that a go.

 

That game has aged a LOT but there are all kinds of mods now to make it a little more accessible.

 

I even heard of mod that remakes it on Skyrim's engine... (Or was it a mod for Skyrim, that brings Morrowing into it? I'm not really sure, and I don't remember the name either at the moment)

 

Fuck League of Legends! I don't play it for a month, then play with some friends tonight... Get dc'd in lane which leads to the enemy getting a kill and my computer crashing... After restarting, I get back into the game, walk into lane, and my computer crashes again... I go full on rage mode, turn off my computer, walk out of the room and slam he lights off, breaking the light switch in the process and gashing my hand in the process.
Needless to say, I'm still fuming....

ME too! Tell me you at least have the GOTY edition, I don't and as a consequence don't have access to Bloodmoon or Tribunal, sadly.
