All the valentine's day artwork showing up on FA now... *le sigh*
I wish I could have some, but
a) I'm too poor for commisions anyways
b) I don't really think that anybody has ordered one secretly for me, and I have nobody who I could gift it to :<
So maybe next year. But I has a little sad now.
I know I should ignore those facts and not let them bother me, but I apparently can't

 

*sits you down on a chair* looky here mister, Valentine's Day is just a cooperation scam to make people buy things for there love ones at extortionative prices. If you truely love someone you wouldn't just show your affection once a year.
Now chin up sweetie your true love will show up eventually you're still very Young have patience.

Of course I wouldn't show my affection to someone only once a year. It's just that "outburst" of love-releated things (artwork, gadgets, anything) that causes being single to sting more. I also know that you can find all those around anytime, but on valentine's day all that just kind of attacks you from everywhere like a bunch of angered wasps or something xD
That's just my opinion on it.

Also, bedtime for me. I feel quite accomplished though, because I set myself a target of finishing the picture today. I did it, at 11:45PM. Technically it's still today so it's good. The result is in my thread in creatives section if anyone wants to see the result ^^

Well yeah, if you only show your affection once a year then that's not going to make for a very good relationship, but I actually wanted to partake in Valentines Day this year despite knowing she's very well aware of how I feel about her and being somebody who buys her things at random just because I know it'll put a smile on her face (like the My Neighbor Totoro cloak I got her a couple weeks ago because I figured she'd enjoy wearing it while doing her normal morning routine of drinking coffee outside.) I actually wanted to go up and take her out to dinner or something but that's just not going to happen with everything going on right now, so flowers and chocolate will have to do. But I don't think there's an issue with partaking in Valentines Day, as long as it's not because of something you feel is expected because of marketing and the like, but because it's something you want to do and something you'd do regardless of the holiday.

That Hallmark holiday loses a lot of its glitter when you actually read up on its origins.

Think I'm going to hit up the local record store on Monday and see if I can find a Hot Fuss vinyl, it's so fucking hard to find tho.

 

I remember a scene from 'The Newsroom' where a woman goes on a rant about how Valentine's Day is ruining love. The camera pans over to her boyfriend with flowers standing behind her. He hands off the flowers to some guy and says, "I love you year round. Valentine's Day is just an excuse to get a hotel room." She smiles takes his arm and they walk off scene looking like a pair of high school sweethearts

You know I was thinking about Vday and while its true that its meant for love, we can't forget that there are way more forms than just romantic love. This year i'll be celebrating sisterly love by going out with my 3 sisters. Its going to be a good time :3

 

What does one do when they have called 'Crazy' or 'Dumb' their entire life; regardless of how many times they have outsmarted all of their peers, friends, and family? I have always shrugged it off as 'I am just ahead of the curve'.

Currently, I am working on something I think will be big and no one believes me and people think I might have just lost my mind.

Two thoughts keep popping up in my head, 'No one knows that they don't want something till they see it' and 'I will not apologize for what I do next'

Stick with me I know what I am doing; especially if it doesn't seem so.
