Hello 2.5 weeks of holidays! No work until the 20th

Might have to work my way through my collection 1 by 1 to pass the time...

 

@MurphyAlter It is really common for people to offer / provide unsolicited help without realizing it's unwanted, so don't be too terse with them (at the same time, I hope they learn this is annoying, and scale it back.) Tell them you want to do "X thing" alone, so you can better understand it, and you will ask for help if necessary.

@ObeyTheSnarf is that his (unfortunate) profile picture? Well... odd decision aside, I think everyone looks goofy as hell from a down-up angle. And the red eyes are just from camera flash.

I don't really care about the stats or anything lmao. Just overall I saw it via a post on Facebook with the pic of the white Power Ranger saying how it was black and blue and I'm like "wtf colorblind much".

 

So I started keeping track of my finances because I want to save up $1000 for a new computer.

Guess who has just realized/incurred about $400 of unexpected costs! *thumb waggles* THIS ASSHOLE! All pretty much stuff I forgot I needed to pay for, but it's still annoying. At least I actually can afford it right now, and can probably cut some of those costs.

 

Yep, that's their profile pic. I know the red eyes are from the camera flash and it is a goofy angle, but the fact that they would choose that photo to represent themself... XP And the profile was covered with phrases like "grunge baby" and invited viewers to join them for lots of "spontaneous kinky queer sex."

 

and all that time and effort to argue over the color of a dress that could've gone to researching and developing cures for cancer or renewable fuels or clean water drinking systems. but no, all people care about is whether it's white and gold or blue and black lol the future looks pretty bleak

 

Hey all those people working on all that stuff are still working on all that stuff. A few hundred million people taking a few minutes of their lives to argue about a tumblr post won't impede global progress towards a bright and prosperous future. As stupid as it is, the ability for that many people to discuss something at that scale is a completely new phenomenon on Earth. It's the sort of thing that's only even been conceivable in the last decade. We've changed the world for the better, no matter how frivolously we use a few minutes of our lifetimes.

 

This person just raises several red flags for me. Their photos are pretty obviously chosen to look edgy and strange, and more power to them for that but it's just not what I'm looking for. It's not nice to mock someone, no, but it appears that photo is specifically picked to cause a stir.

I tend to feel vulnerable, squishy, and naive much of the time, and this person's entire profile makes me uncomfortable on a number of levels. I am entirely unprepared to deal with... whatever it is this person has going on. Some kinda kinky queer anarchist hipster that enjoys posing in shady trees sporting their best "rapeface."

For all I know, this person could be perfectly nice and not as massively creepy as their entire profile makes them look, but personally I am not willing to take that chance.

 

@scalie To be fair, none of those people were going to solve those problems with that time anyway.
