    That's news.

    I love MLP.
I think it appeals to (and brings out) my babygirl/little girl side.

Originally I didn't really watch. The first season had just finished when I started watching. I had primarily not watched because of all the brony-hate on the internet. I didn't really agree with it, because I tend to love kids shows, but I didn't want to catch the hate. Then I don't even know why, I just gave it a chance and fell in love. I love that it's on Netflix now!

Some Discussion Questions?: ((at least, some things I've wondered about other fans.))
Why did you all start watching MLP? Was it right away or after hearing good/bad things?
Did you watch the old old cartoons or just FiM? Do you watch other kids shows?

I too love MLP. I started to watch the show because I was seeing all the memes and brony fandom. I didn't get what the appeal was so I started watching some episodes. That was about halfway through season 1. I watched the first episode and I still didn't get it, so I watched another...and another, and another, until I now have all four seasons and rewatch them on a consistent basis. I didn't know about the "hate" until much later, but by then I had no fucks to give as I loved the show.

I never understood the hate either. What does one person's love (or hate) for something really matter? The only reason I can see for publically denouncing and berating others would be to stop that behavior. But, I wonder about the motivation behind such an action when the behavior is innocuous or even innocent. So what if people like a cartoon show? Me being a 30+ year old male and liking a show originally aimed at children doesn't give or take anything from anybody, so why spew venom toward me or anyone for it? Bah...the brony hatred is something I just really don't like (actually the hatred of anyone doing something they enjoy).

As for other old cartoons, my formative years were the late 80s and early 90s so I keep a stock supply of old Animaniacs, Tiny Toon Adevntures, G.I. Joe, Silver Hawk (now I really feel old), Captain Planet, and Thundercats episodes. Not to mention of course the old Looney Toons episodes. Some of those Road Runner ones are still cracking me up. Maybe this is just nostalgia talking, but I wish we had more cartoons like I had growing up. If/when I have kids I want to be able to share the cartoons I grew up with, but the stuff I see on T.V. nowadays is just one big marketing campaign to sell shit. I don't like that. I want something with a message, something I can take away and add to my life. I want to feel like I have learned something in an episode and now feel like I've wasted 30 minutes of my time watching a long commercial. I think that's really the reason I watch MLP:FiM, I take away lessons and I learn with each episode. These are things I would want my kids to see and that, for me, speaks volumes.

Started watching it originally with little cousin #1, girl and oldest of three. I found it funny and not girly at all. So then I started watching it by myself and really enjoyed it. It's not like most cookie cutter shows, animated or not, on TV. It's genuinely funny and heartwarming. I can relate every character to someone I know.

I only watch FiM, never a previous generation.

The sockies came from aldi they're kids socks but I have little feet and they were ponies so win win for me.

As for the blanket it was a MLP colour themed blanket I was making until I ran out of wool and forgot which brand I used. >[]<

I have been trying to make plushies for mlp but I am still trying to find the material that works best and practising embroidery because I do everything by hand as I don't have one of those fancy machines that do the embroidered eyes and cutie marks.

I could but that would be a lot of hand sewing as I am not good with my sewing machine control yet.
Also from the looks of it the cutie mark and eyes are definitely machine embroider.

Yes! She so needs another episode of her own. If Spike gets them, so does she (although I wouldn't be opposed to a Vinyl Scratch or Derpy episode).

Well she has just had a spotlight in the comics recently. Although pinkie was there to.
I think there needs to be more nightmare episodes like nightmare rarity from the comics.

I haven't followed the comics at all. Sounds like a Luna-phile like me should look it up.

Speaking of plushies, there's a 6' tall Celestia plush someone made.

Not sure if they're selling it, or if it's already been sold.
