That's pretty much the reasons I left the BD forums. Didn't really feel very inclusive to me aside from a few regular circlejerks (figuratively). It also seems pretty easy to tick people off over there by accident.

 

That could work. If I left them in my locker at work I'd be half an hour away from the keys. But I would need to wear said device to work which may not be ideal.

My other idea is to find someone irl or online to be the keeper of the keys, or at least the code to get to the keys. I have a key safe by my front door just in case I lose my keys etc. If I got someone to set a new code for it while I wasn't watching (skype call maybe where I can't see the numbers but they can) I could put them in there. As long as that person was readily contactable that could be interesting too. Otherwise they only give me the code at a pre arranged time. Ideas!

 

You can find people in all sorts of corners who would gladly be a key holder. One place to try is fet life if you don't have the contacts to do that.

 

My partner is asleep in my bed, I kind of admire her ability to just conk out so quickly.

 

The member in question confessed to nearly needing to call a crisis hotline the previous night, over some RL things. She was probably in a shit mood (she seems to take offense to things very easily, whether or not people are being intentionally malicious.)

I've poked my head in there a few times when trouble has brewed (without logging in) and I've seen that one person post a lot of petulant, aggressive stuff as a "defense" of BD. For what it's worth, I agree with what you posted. Also, good to see you again! I used to be called Golgathoth on the old forums.

 

Now you got me really curious as to what the heck the issue was over there... and for future reference, get some of us on Skype if you don't have us, I know I have you, we might be useful if you lose us again XD

apparently. I've never heard of someone refusing to teach a class because of something like that. usually it comes down to someone being offended by something that wouldn't offend 99.999% of humanity and they can't get past it and focus on the rest of the information that they can use. college has become like fucking preschool

 

I probably annoy enough people they wouldn't want me on the skype group. meh, conversational awkwardness go!
