Great now I have to teach Sprout to imitate household appliances...

 

One of my personal favourites...

 

Sprout's too small to imitate that well, everything he'll end up saying will come out scratchy and buzzy, but one day I'll get some words out of him!

Nope! Definitely a boy birb, you can tell from the blue markings he has. ^^

 

Lucky cause one of my budgies can't decide on whether she's a boy or a girl cause her cere keeps changing colour.

there was a pet shop in my town that used to have this old grumpy grey parrot that would make a door ding sound every time someone opened the door

 

They are damn good imitators! And smart has hell too! An African Grey would be my first choice for a pet when it becomes more economically and spacially feasible.

 

Yeah, this is why I have yet to get one; I don't believe I currently have the time, space or money that is needed for them. I fully understand that getting one is a huge commitment, and that it would be irresponsible and cruel to get one knowing I wouldn't be able to give it the full care it requires.

Also, I've read that their life expectancy is around 50 years, and that they occasionally live in to their 70s. So not only are they a big commitment, they are a commitment for most of, if not the rest of your life.

 

Not normal but he/she does. Luckily I called her a unisex name.
