@ Exeter - it's a 'protest' trying to get a 1D member to rejoin the group and now a whole bunch of absolutely stupid idiots are threatening self harm/ suicide and posting photos on Twitter of their cut up arms with the # cut4zayn.

I... Have been away for a long, long time. How did that happen? x_x

In other news, my big trip to Denmark in the middle of May is closing in. In the bad news, I'm still terrified to fly. In even more bad news, the fact that the flight that crashed into the Alps was a deliberate suicide now makes me even more afraid to fly.

I'll just show myself out.

 

Ok, so, even though it's like 7 months till Halloween I already know what I wanna be lol. I wanna dress up as human Bill Cipher, and when the trick or treaters show up I'll hand out candy teeth XD

 

I can't decide if that's a surprise or not... The guy quit due to stress if I remember correctly, he was only leaving the worldwide tour, not the band.

It was hailed as a wise choice, to put his mental health ahead of the entertainment. And here we have overly dramatic people putting their entertainment above his mental health. Is it any surprise with that kind of pressure surging out their in the audience the guy was stressed?

If it makes you feel any better, by May, there'll be industry changes to prevent this implemented in all the planes, because airlines REALLY don't like when this shit happens to ANY airline, and they'll be eaten alive by the families if they don't.

 

Yeah. :< that's the only comfort. I don't know why I'm so terrified of flying, but last Christmas I got into really bad turbulence and my water was sloshing over the sides of my cup on my tray. The stewardesses even had to sit down. D: It was terrifying. Now all these crashes make me even more scared LOL. I'm just a huge chicken.

the problem solves itself eventually. either they stop cutting or eventually it goes too far and it ends another way. woo, life experiences no one should have!

 

its ridiculous how these kids are... they are 12-13 years old and posting pictures of their cut arm? like... WHAT? attention-seeking much? who the slag cares? plus there's the people that freakin shipped them /hard/. even i have my otp's and notp's but i dont ship real people in a serious manner.

plus its kids like this that i now, probably others, have the idea that cutting is the stereotypical norm of their age, and that they don't think about the people that have actual issues with such/trying to stop, or people that can't tolerate seeing blood, etc. if i HAVE to have scars then i'll take ones that at least have better stories than {11-year-old brat voice} "i cut because Zayne left the band" or "Justin Beiber is dating [name1] instead [name2] and i don't like it."

 

hopefully they'll one day grow up and be like "hey kids, don't be a fucking idiot like I was at your age. it seems really bad for a few years, but you'll grow up and get past it" hopefully...

Agreed IceStar. It does feel like it is a bit of a trend.
But 'selfharm' trendng isn't anything new unfortunately. .it's such a hard line to approach not knowing the whole story but in this case it's quite clear.

I really hope so scalie.. but you have to wonder, where did they pick it up from ?! Surely not from the gen before us? So what's to say despite what us as the parents tell the next gen that this won't continue into a spiral of more stupidity and self centredness (That's not even a word) ...

And tbh Bronson I don't feel the people mocking this are much better :/ ...it all gets jumbled in the mix of mocking self harm or people who do it.
