If only Bethesda could make a game that was actually stable even when vanilla. If only...

The instability is half the fun of Fallout and The Elder Scrolls though!

Until you've had to restart your New Vegas character over three times because game-breaking bugs destroyed essential quests :p

I once shot a turret in a vault which was apparently mistakenly part of a faction which instantly failed me several quests I hadn't even started yet, thus ruining my chance of finishing several of the endings.

Here are some classics from Oblivion.

Gotta love Fathis Ules, the wealthiest fence in the world who is completely inaccessible for the entire game.

The PS4 actually sold pretty well, xbone didn't get many sales until christmas time. In america at least. But anyway, bloodborne was actually published by sony this time so I highly doubt it'll get ported to anything, knowing sony.

Has anyone played it yet though? I can't get past Father Gasc-whatever! (◕﹏◕✿)

Oh my goddd, the memories. I remember getting every character and pedestrian in my GTA:SA game modded into Touhou characters. And you better believe there were enough girls to cover almost every skin with very little duplication. xD The game never got dull. NEVER. >:O

@Exeter, I started having trouble a couple months ago with it CTD every time I would go to a load screen. I have severs characters and it would let me play any of them. It was right after I had downloaded a set of mods that were all supposed to go together. I even tried making a new character but as soon as it would try to load the next cell area it crashed. Finally I gave up and uninstalled everything, even deleted the Skyrim folder under Steam.

After getting it reinstalled I found that all my saves were still intact, I guess synched to Steam or something. But they were all naked and bald. Lol! Nexus is having an error, even after uninstalling and reinstalling it, that looks to annoying to bother fixing. So all my Nexus mods are gone for now. I went on and made a new character and started from the beginning.

Really this is the only time I've had any issues with Skyrim. Too many conflicting mods. Had about 24 from Steam, something like 50 or more on Nexus and the 7 or 8 from Sex Labs.

I currently have an update pending on Steam for Skyrim, and I am so scared of it breaking my finely (ridiculously) balanced mod installs.

Gaaah, looking for four games online, can't find any of them.

I still have the physical copies of the games I want to play, but they don't work on Windows 7.

Anyone know how to get them to work/find compatible versions?

    The games are:
    Master of Orion II
    Deadlock
    Ascendancy
    Oregon Trail II

And I already checked the Wayback Machine directory, and none are there.

Master of Orion II is awesome! Master of Magic is pretty damned good too if you kind find a way to run it. Sometimes you can find old games like that to download for free and they come with programming that'll let it run on your system.

@MurphyAlter If you haven't already, try gog.com . It's an online store, works similiar to Steam in terms of buying but you get a digital, DRM-free copy of the games, and they're at least supposed to work with newer systems. I think those games you listed are pretty old, so you have pretty high chances to find them there. And they shouldn't be expensive at all.
    @quick edit
Found the first two for you there :3 (the names are clicky)
    Master of Orion 1 + 2
Deadlock (there's also Deadlock 2 available)
Sadly the latter two aren't there... :(

A lot of mods are meant to be used with fresh characters, and with so many, it's hard to keep track of conflicts. The general idea is you install *one* mod, and play with it a while, to see if it works with the rest, then keep adding more 1 at a time. But who has the time for that?!

Was going to recommend checking GoG, but the poles are too fast!

Thank you! I'm not really willing to pay though.

I managed to find something called DOSBOX, which lets you emulate the games if you have the file, but was only able to get one game working. I need to troubleshoot to get the other two operational.

Nintendo has shown off some of what's coming to expand Smash Bros 3DS / Wii U.

Oh man, Oblivion bugs. XD Skyrim has some bugs too, of course. For one, I had to fix an issue with Cicero's model. It turns out that the model used for the entire storyline up to whether or not you kill him is a totally different model than the one used as a follower if you spare him. The first model is a correct, shorter height. The second model is not - rather, it's the default height. I noticed it first on the console that he was eye to eye with me, and it made me so mad! So I made sure I fixed it on my PC version lmao.

As for Oblivion, I spent many many hours making mods for that game back in the day. I made a lot of houses for myself. One of these houses was set in the very north of Cyrodil. It was perfectly fine except for one thing. I checked a box I should not have. Everything was done and I launched the game to see my handiwork. Well, except first I decided to do a DB quest where you are sent to kill a Shadowscale. I got to the quest area, and.... he was gone?? That npc doesn't move, what the hell? Shrugging it off for the moment, I went to my modded house. Oh my god. I was not prepared. There were dozens of npcs pacing around my house. Some of them were even inside it despite the "needs a key" lock on the door! They were all desperately trying to get in. The Shadowscale was one of them.

As it turned out, the box I wasn't supposed to check screwed with the scripting for wandering npcs. It made those particular npcs be forced to travel there, asap. Needless to say, I went back and unchecked that box. Everything was fine after that. XD

Reminds me of the time I tried a cheat in The Sims 2 that made the entire neighbourhood come over to my house despite the game's limit of something like 8 people on a lot at a given time. Dozens of people just started meandering about and making a mess. Babies, helpless babies, spawned on the sidewalks without anyone to care for them. I eventually sent everyone away, but the babies were still there, little swaddled bundles on the ground... crying.... forgotten and abandoned by their bizarre parents....

    Good times!

Hehe as exciting as Mewtwo and Lucas and the unknown additional fighters are, the most exciting thing About the Direct was the announcement of a balance update! Which almost certainly means Diddy nerfs! I love it when the meta changes :)

Did they announce that?? Last I heard Sakurai say on the subject was that he wasn't going to be altering the balance any further, the only other software patches were going to be online fixes and streamlining. That's great news! Maybe I'll suddenly become a contender XD

Yeah, along with the Mewtwo info, they said that patch 1.06 would be released, and that it contained fighter balance changes. It was subtle, but the guy definitely said it :)

And Sakurai is either poorly translated, taken too literally, or just always gives false information. He always says that there is no current plans for things, but I think he means that there are no solid plans for them yet. Long before release he stated there was no plans for DLC, then Mewtwo was announced and he said there was no plans for further DLC or balance changes... Then yesterday happened.

I think they may have seen the success that EVO and APEX are having, and have finally started wanting to work with the community.
