@Vitani If you ever think no one cares about you... Think again with this place in mind :p We all DO care about you, what you have to say, and you're never a burden, hindrance, whatever to us. Besides, I often feel the way you do, more often than you might know, and when I think of this place it kind of passes away.

    Also, totally what Murphy said.

I got my tetanus shot last Monday and it still hurts, 5-6 days later 3: I had so many days to rest it off, too, but alas.
It's definitely 'getting better', though, but not quite to the point that I'd like. Well, time for an achy shift at work.

Uugh, I wore my new clothes today for the first time and felt really cute all day, then came home and decided to take a photo of myself feeling cute. Seems I don't look anywhere near as cute or feminine as I thought I did. -_-

How you look will never live up to your personal standards (just going off what I know of you, and my own body critiquing.) At least not now. On another note: Getting a style to look "good enough," takes some time, and trial and error. And a third note: Most pictures I take of myself do not turn out well either! It could be lighting, angles, w/e.

In any case, keep trying :3.

I made a project of taking a picture of myself every day after a bad breakup til i was comfortable with my face. I started out hating myself and by the end, I had found shots I actually liked.

Persistence is key. You have to love yourself. You're gorgeous and need to accept that arbitrary definitions of "femininity" don't stop you from BEING gorgeous.

Here they are in order of how they made me feel, from shitty, to happy.

Sleep, I want to sleep. I think my period is here. Or I'm just really hungry cause I didn't eat much. Tylenol is slowly becoming an option.

    Wish me luck =3=

Had a bit of a bad mood night last night. It was about 10:30 pm, I'm on my way home, decide I want some Tim Hortons. I walk up to the place near my house, see that the store's under construction and they're operating out of a mobile truck until it's done.

So I walk up to the service window, lights are all on but I don't see anyone. I knock and wait for about 30 seconds or so. No response. I knock again, another 30 seconds with no response. Same for the third knock. Then I can see someone moving around and doing stuff closer to the window. I knock, they do something else and go back to the other side of the truck where I can't see them. I wasn't knocking too softly at that point either, so it wasn't a matter of them not hearing me. I see the woman again, knock again, she walks away.

At this point I'm getting kinda grumpy. It's pretty late at night, there's literally no one at the walk-up window and there hasn't been anyone at the drive-through window. What the heck is taking them so long to come to the window? I knock again, a little harder this time, and a different woman actually comes to the window. Finally, I think to myself, coffee and a muffin time.

She opens the window. "Walk-up window is day-time only. If you want something at night, use the drive through." I look behind her, and I can actually see through the drive through window from the walk-up window. Apparently it's a big deal which window she uses to hand people coffee. So I say "So I can't get a coffee if I don't have a car then?"

"Yes. Go away." then she shuts the window before I can say anything further. Walked home hungry for muffins and coffee.

BAHAHA Yeah they can be pretty strict, for customers it doesn't matter how they get their stuff but for them, while they're busy in that stupid little trailer, being able to say "I can't serve 50% of the customers who come here, sorry." is a great way to cut down on the business and get through the night. Of course, the argument for not walking through the drive-thru is that it's meant for traffic and unsafe for pedestrians. Which is bulllllllshit XD

I don't own a bike either. I walk pretty much everywhere.

Heck, I would have understood if the drive through was busy, but the parking lot they were stationed in was completely empty, nobody drove up during the whole time I was knocking. Lazy buggers.

Well, I failed my mathematics assignment at university. I only needed to get 40% and I got 38%. 38 fucking percent, literally like a question or two off passing. And I struggled so hard trying to get that far, I thought I'd done it.

It takes skill to get out of work within the confines of still doing your job! In fast food, being able to NOT serve a customer is about the highest pleasure imaginable :3

That's really shitty >< What are your options looking like to recover? Can you retake the test? Appeal the grade?

Oh I could retake it, but there isn't much point. My course ends in two weeks and I still have shit loads to finish. I have a paper due that I can probably finish sometime this week, but I have like 14000 words still to do on my dissertation. I don't think I'm going to be able to do that in two weeks, so it's pointless retrying anything.

To be honest, I don't see what half the shit I've been doing has to do with my subject. That's this university for you. "Come to study forensics and security? Fuck you, you're going to spend two years studying the digital impact on the environment and green computing for businesses. Final year is practical security year? Nah, we're just going to teach you how to write papers to sweet talk businesses and researchers into giving you money for subjects you're not interested in."

Excuse me if I now have a chip on my shoulder about the whole "(◕‿◕✿) Green living and environmentalism! (◡‿◡✿)" thing.

Echoing the issue I have with the education system... deal with bullshit to get a degree so you can maybe get hired in the field you want.
I *like* learning things. Things related to my job / field! It's why I'm much more interested in job training, or trade schools.

Personally I'm a terrible writer, and speaker, which makes any class where that is a core part of the curriculum an incredible chore. My writing style, since forever:
    • Write a relevant sentence.
    • Think: No... that doesn't sound quite right. How should I word this?
    • Adjust, or completely rewrite sentence.
    • repeat.
    • Finish paragraph, and realize the cohesive unit doesn't quite get the correct message across.
    • Edit paragraph until satisfied.

After hearing how much writing is involved in a lot of general college studies, I'm completely put off because of the time! I'm not sure I'd even have time (given my full time job.)

Yeah, I'm not an academic person at all. That's something I've learned trying to get through university. There's so much bullshit around just learning something, most of it having nothing to do with anything. Like I said, my first two years had fuck all to do with forensics or security, it was all just "how to dispose of computers environmentally safely" and "how to make servers more efficient" and "write 5000 words about why cloud computing is the best".

I so want to toy right now, but my housemates have decided that staying home this week really suits them. Ugggh. Plus, I'm too lazy to clean out or anything...
