What Is On Your Mind?

It doesn't really matter if you are older or not. If you are living under your parents roof it is best to keep the piece or be thrown out on your ass and be homeless.

Life in the UK isn't easy for a single female and getting a house on your own is particularly impossible unless you have a baby and I am not doing that.

As for showing my folks that I know they are legit people online and not some scumbag pretending to be someone else shows I've put a lot of effort in and am sensible.

I don't want them to worry that I will be the next girl on the news to wind up butchered because I met a joe blog on the internet that wasn't who he or she was saying they were.

 

I'm getting burnt out at work. Saturday was particularly awful. It's going to be a very long week. At least I have my birthday to look forward to

 

Woop woop, it's sunny outside. Kinda wanna go for a drive, but I am tired and petrol is expensive.

 

I'm really glad I ended up in a job more financially and emotionally rewarding than my father's. (Then again, his midlife crisis consisted of leaving his family, doing a lot of coke, banging a lot of girls. Ultimately, he decided that wasn't working for him either and joined a monastery.)

 

Oh damn. If that was my situation I would probably lose all respect for him in an instant. At least he didn't let that lifestyle take him out. Do you still talk to him and such?

 

Not really. We're deeply at odds with each other over a bunch of things. It was okay for him to have a phase in his life where he privately cheated on his wife, divorced leaving behind three children 12, 10 and 6, and then got it on with a series of party girls; it's apparently not okay for me to stay happily married and committed to my partners and children, be poly and queer, and be highly public about it. It was okay for him to join a deeply Old Testament-oriented monastery for his retirement; it's not okay for me to be highly conversant in Biblical studies and yet somehow remain an unbeliever.

So, yeah... we don't get along.

 

Wow, what a bag of crap. That's not something anyone should accept really.

 

Happy Days Onissarle messaged me this morning saying that he and Ssthisto are taking me to see the Deep in Hull next week. OMG!!!! so excited!

I am SO happy to have my libido back. @Exeter is going to be in for a treat when he gets here... *sly grin*

 

that awkward moment when you're the first person to finish the math exam and everyone else is still on the first page...

 

Hehe, been a while since I was in real school, but with all my certification tests (mold remediation, fire remediation, confined space work, ect), without fail, I am done before everyone else is even half done, and usually get the highest mark...

So, I have something to share with you guys. For those of you who enjoy fanfiction, and the harry potter universe, this one is probably the best fanfiction I've ever read.

The basic premise is that Harry's aunt petunia didn't marry Durnon, but an oxford science professor. Harry believes very heavily in the scientific method. Cue magic messing up his world view.

To paraphrase one part of it "Magic's attitude towards the laws of thermodynamics and conservation of energy seem to be somewhere between a giant middle finger and a shrug of apathy."

 

Sites that require you to sign up to download files over a certain size. Why.

 

Especially when the file size is JUST above the limit. </3
