oh great, yet another artist I like has whored out to patreon (A.K.A. pay-ME-treon)

 

Yea. I can understand someone like Kabier using patreon for her comics and stuff, but the amount of artists that use it are just ridiculous at this point. I'll admit I considered it at one point, but if I'm already getting paid by the commissioner to make the art then it's overkill to ask others for money as well.

 

Oh, come on. "Whore out" is a silly thing to say. People have bills to pay, food to buy, rent to cover. Until the Great Communist Robot Revolution comes and takes all our jobs away, people are going to need their skills to make money. I've had a Paypal tipjar for years; I don' think it hurts anything.

 

tipjar, sure, posting shitty half completed sketches and expecting everyone to drop $10+ per pic to see the finished product? fuck that

See, if I were to make a patreon I would use it moreso as a tipjar. Kinda like "Hey, if you like my art I have a patreon you can tip if you want to." I might consider making a paypal tip thing, but I'm not sure how it works. Oh, and btw, what artist was it you were originally talking about scalie?

 

I hate this Patrons. Like no fuck you finish the damn drawing. If people wanna donate let them donate don't tease people.

I... I don't know why our neighbors decide that blasting their music from 10pm to 3 am almost on a daily basis is a good idea... I can't say I'm a fan of the decision.

my and my boyfriend got onto video chat earlier and he seems to have taken up the craft of teasing. and on top of that he's dom and im really blushy and i kinda like being teased >///3///<

heh... i asked him if he thought he'd be able to make the week not doing *anything* and he admitted probably not. later he said we was up to *that* while we were talking (getting a little heated up~ heh) and also said he'd missed seeing me on cam. oh, his visit here's gonna be fun if he got excited that easy~ he keeps saying he thinks im going to be the one that starts it when he's the one taking advantage of me being sub. uh huh, let's see who starts~

but still, he has said that he'd like to keep me pure, as he said it. wouldn't want to just take me. of course i can't think of a reaction in words. but i do tell him that doing *that* is still in the air and something that both us decide on. and if we do, then, we're covered.

he's someone that i'm not giving up on. i really lucked out in getting with him. me, a country(ish) girl with the stamina of a turtle, a bit heavier-set and only two inches taller than Ed Elric, getting with someone that's in the Navy, that's got a good head on his shoulders and a set of morals that i've not seen too much. just, in a nutshell... oui. i can't even think of how to nutshell it in English. its just... urk. you know when you want to explain something and can't put it into words? yeah, that's right now.

... and really i can't imagine a better place to be. best friend for four years, always stayed there, supporting me as i did him, turned lover. not much else i can ask for to make it better. just for the remaining days to go by quickly.

can you tell im excited to be having him here. i attempt to keep my cool but... neeeeeeh!

It's happened before. They make enough money that he doesn't care. That, and the other neighbors are there too. Yay lol. I'm just randomly venting i guess.

If you're persistent enough, the cops will start getting pissed off, and it's easier for them to tell your neighbors off than you.

 

I don't really have a "drive" or a "passion". It's not something I get depressed about (well, maybe now and then, but not much). I just don't have any big talent or great love to direct myself by. I've always just been someone with no specific plan, and no inkling as to what I would want to do with my life.

 

Are we the same person? I'm not really good at anything and life feels too far along to pick up something >.>

 

Well, no. I AM good at stuff, I'm just not GREAT at anything.

 

I feel exactly how you both describe too.

 

I'm that kind of guy that never is *really* successful. I might do something good here and there, but any major things that I start to do/try to achieve just fail.
Proper job? Not in this life it seems.
Good education? Not enough money for the university, and my highschool exams went bad so...
Friends? I have this place, and that's basically all. I'm talking about close friends, that is.
I could go on and on It gets really heavy on my mind at times though.

 

I just paid a visit to the old forum that I spent years of my life on before deciding it was time for me to move on, having bad times, good times, meeting some people I'll never forget...
I won't log in again for reasons, but looking through a thread with the list of names of people I used to talk to on a daily basis who also moved on makes me choke up a little. And after not going there for about 2 years now, some people still remember me...

 

Just to clarify on what I meant, I feel like I'm doomed to be average. You hear every successful person saying that they always knew what they wanted to do in life, or they got lucky and pounced on an idea nobody else had. They all have this amazing drive and great stories, but because I don't, I feel like I'll just be stuck being someone... normal.
