What Is On Your Mind?

I know dinos are FB's thing but I don't think it would be bad for BD to have one, HOWEVER.... The fact that they are doing four toys really bothers me. I knew at some point BD would do a dino (at least they did a 'tops, and I believe that hasn't been done before).
About the design stealing? They do look rather similar. I'm pretty sure BD has "borrowed" some of said person's designs before, or am I mistaken? As soon as I saw Trent I was immediately excited then a heavy, dull feeling came over me, like "Oh shit, what did they rip off now?"
Like I said, it's in fair taste for them to do a dino dick (maybe a vag too). Still, this whole "park" thing with the BD logo being in Jurassic style - like a company we love - is not making it okay.
I actually love the design, though.

I think that's the first indication im not overly impressed. The names are way too close ><

Actually, I'm just bitter with BD in general so my opinion holds no real worth.

Completely just looks wise. Toy is well made and sculpted.
Nice colours too. but the design for me personally ain't going to fly. I'm not a fan of tapers.

The first time I saw the price of BD's vibe thing, I thought "oh, that seems alright" because I'd never shopped around for one before, so I was kinda surprised to see people saying it was expensive.

That said though, Games Workshop has ruined my sense of value. I know I've easily spent hundreds on small resin and metal models.

 

The vibe BD has is shit. I don't have one but I used to have the same kind. Very flimsy, can't really insert it, and not even mildly strong.

So for my big TWO-ZERO I'm giving myself the greatest gift of all: education! I'm going to college, babes! Just a local one to get my GPA up and get gen ed out of the way, then my hope is to go to Cornell in NY. <3

 

My boyfriend is looking at going to Cornell! If he goes I'll probably move out west to be with my boyfriend #2 since I can't work in the US, but I'll come visit and then I'm totally hitting you up ^^

 

oh man we can have a party! :3 Does he know what he wants to study? I'll be doing teh vet stuff.

 

He'll be going for geochemistry. He's applying all over the place now but that's one of the place he's most excited to go. He'll be going to school in about a year, and whether or not it's there or elsewhere, I'll be leaving this crummy little town and moving to new places ^^

 

That sounds fun! I'm happy for you both. >u< I really want to go to Cornell since it's an awesome vet school, good climate, great scenery, annnnnd it's closer to Canada!

I forgot to mention this yesterday, but I was complimented on my sketch that I did out of boredom in work xD It was a yawning/yelling wolf head, and I did it with pencil in like... 3 minutes? Everybody who saw that just said "hey, you draw good!" and I just felt motivated to do more drawing
Too bad taking a photo would be too risky, because it was on some sort of a copy of a document (it still contained names and such. Taking a photo of it could be risky if anyone caught me doing that), but it was actually nice.

 

I need to get into drawing again. I need lots of practice. ._.

Been up for a while sculpting. Working on one project that progress has been rather slow on. Keep tinkering with the shape, but it's about close enough that I can do some subtractive work to get it just right. This and another of a similar theme, then I don't want to do too much with sea/tentacle related things aside from sizing up and down. Lot of saturation in the field recently, very hard to do anything that doesn't step on toes.

Awake far too late because of depression though, trying to distract because I'm afraid of what thoughts will face me when I turn everything off and go to bed. One of those times where having some Benadryl around wouldn't hurt, especially since it would go a little ways to help with stuffiness.

Still procrastinating.

Never had such a bad experience with histamines since, but one summer a few years ago was awful. Was stressed out to begin with since I was going into Chicago with a former teacher to paint murals on a daycare wall, but allergies hit hard and I ended up not being able to sleep...got 3 hours in 3 days. Went home at the end of that, fell back on the good ol' Benadryl, and passed out for well over 12 hours.
Sucks to use during the day though. I go with...Zyrtec, whatever's in that...cetirizine? yeah. The other common non-drowsy one, loratadine, gives me terrible heart palpitations. Think that's one of those 'severe' reactions. I'd sooner suffer from pollen allergy.

...why plants gotta spooge everywhere. So rude.

 

Morning all, hope everyone is doing well. Things have been looking up for me, and hopefully it'll say that way for a bit.
