probably since that stuff tends to draw in underage users and BD is liable for anyone's little jimmies and Janies that might see someone else's junk and that kinda thing gets your website shut down pretty damn fast if enough formal complaints are filed and people are too stupid to realize that there kid was looking it up and that the site owners had no control over what someone does

Yea, like Jazzie said. Public RP and forums games have been banned on there for a freakin ass long time (since before I joined at least). I was surprised this forum allowed games n such.

 

Same idiocy, different day. I bet the same parents would get upset of the site owners were looking up everyone's age and such to confirm that they are who they say they are to make sure no minors were hanging around. Site owners are screwed either way by incompetent parents with no ability or inclination to watch their children's internet activity.

Actually, is there some legal precedent for defending the sites on the basis that the site was created for the purpose of promoting, creating, discussing or otherwise engaging in adult material? That seems like something that would have to exist for porn sites to stay active.

 

pornography and "obscene language" aren't protected under the 1st amendment, the CAN-SPAM act also has some influence. reasonable people hearing a complaint or case would probably tell the parents to grow up and be parents, however with how things are now everyone wanting to improve their image or make a chunk of cash would be whoring themselves out to be the one to decide the case that saved a poor innocent misguided mind from such vile filth. either way, people are stupid and hate taking responsibility for their own shit

I decided to rewatch the entire Doctor Who series, so that means season 1-7 (doesn't have 8).
