Another thing that happened at the furcon this weekend:

While riding the elevator, it was about half con goers and half non. The doors open up and this deer fursuiter gets in. Big antlers and everything. This woman literally had this O-O look. The suiter says in his southern accent, "You look like a deer in headlights."

Welp just heard on the local news that there has been a major incident involving the smiler ride at Alton towers.

One carriage full of 16 quests in total to the park. Crashed into a stationary carriage in the middle of the ride. 4 are said to be seriously injured as for the rest of the 12 other passengers, it is yet to be confirmed of their current conditions.

 

Dentist says the wisdom tooth is infected. Unfortunately the roots run too close to the sinus for him to do anything. He's sending me to an oral surgeon to get it removed and I'll end up greeting a bunch of work done on my gums to protect the sinus.

 

And kids, that's why we always have these teeth removed.
I only had 3. Still get phantom pains from them.

 

Typically, my favorite part of the job is the learning stage. However...... That stage is a couple days, a week AT MAX. This job? Oh.... It's been a month and it will be another month. I absolutely hate it. Once I get out of it I should be good....!

In other news, my baby girl Nyla got in her harness the other day and went outside! She was singing and dancing - SO happy. We also went to Sonic and they gave her some bread. They were excited to see a parrot in drive thru xD

 

On the plus side.... You'll get lots of drugs? idk.

My parents have started listening to the Flat Earth Society and think there's something to it. Now, I have some pretty farfetched personal beliefs myself, but these guys are on a whole other level. From what I've heard, their "evidence" is shaky at best and flat out bullshit at worse. Stuff like "why is the horizon line always in the centre of a camera's vision no matter how high it goes?", "why can we see light from a lighthouse 100 miles away if the planet has curvature?", "why aren't engineers and builders taught to plan for the Earth's curvature when building across long distances?" and "all photographs of a spherical Earth are CGI and Photoshop, NASA admitted it themselves". The logic is so childish too; actual quote here: "I always thought, 'why don't we fall off the underside of the planet? That just doesn't seem right'."

I swear I've lost some brain cells indirectly listening to these people.

Mine hurt like fuck the time they each came through, but have been completely fine since after a night of aspirin.

 

I'm so sorry I have to post this now...

 

Ask them if all the other planets are flat too, and if not, then why would Earth be the exception.

 

Apparently, they're not real, along with zero-g space. They're an illusion perpetuated by NASA and similar space centres.

 

I got a lot done mowing wise as now my place doesn't look like Jurassic park and the only downside was I was covered in enough bugs to question if my 5 acre yard is a wildlife preserve.
I'm excited about the fallout tease and hope that it's for real.
On another note I actually care about shark week for the slim hope that luka will be on sale. Then again I'm thinking that I should stick with smaller toys and am questioning if I want to keep my medium Cody and spritz. Both are a little big and firm for me but I just don't know. I guess I could give em another try and then decide if I want to trade them.

@AkaiKitsune Just tell them that we are an experiment in an alien petridish. The sun is there desk lamp looking down on us and night time is when they are closing the labs at night.

This is why I don't like discussing my interests with anyone usually.

 

almost got rear ended on the way home from work. stopped at an intersection in my neighborhood to let some kids on bikes cross, chick driving behind me on her cell phone (who has been tailgaiting me for the last 3 miles) almost hits me and starts yelling at me and giving me the finger in my rear view mirror, the kids are watching all of this with their teenage sister. chick behind me jumps out of her car and starts walking up to my window, I throw that fucker in park and get out as calm as can be, I'm nearly 2 feet taller than her. instantly she goes from acting like she's gonna rip my head off to a look of "I fucked up". older sister on her bike yells to her "get off your phone bitch" I get back in my car, give the kids a thumbs up, drive off. weird day.
