Cuteness overload!

 

Only because I learned after high school with the friends I didn't keep up with. And cause I broke down and got facebook.

 

And now I have to post this again.

 

Friendship is magic indeed. Nothing in my pockets, nothing in my sleeves aaaaand poof, before your eyes your friends disappear XDDDDDDDDD

 

I have a couple game grumps shirts, and the only one who ever comments on them is my mom.

I don't have any material after that.

 

Don't feel bad, people who have no frieds. I have few friends that I even want to hang out with. Course, I'm EXTREMELY introverted.

All my friends are online ;3;

 

Most of my friends are online too, and I feel much closer to them than people I became friends with offline.

What sucks though is they've been deemed my "imaginary friends" by my mother. :/

 

I am fucking PISSED OFF with my laptop. No matter what I do I cannot be rid of fucking 8?1 cuz my fucking laptop SHUT ITSELF OFF to download it. I fucking hate it.

 

Well, I have never kept many real close friends, even through elementary, jr. high and high schools.
One whom I met during elementary school, I now keep up with on Facebook. We met when his mother rented our basement as an apartment, my mother needed the extra income to pay her mortgage, and we became fast friends though we went to different schools (we did go to the same High school though) After high school, we did loose touch sadly, but reconnected four years ago (Again through Facebook. This also includes a a girl friend we both dated. Our first puppy love you might say).
From jr. high, a nerdy friend I still keep up with via phone, I met again out here in Las Vegas some 10 years ago. I saw him at a job site I was working, and we became fast friends again, even dating his girl friend's sister. (I'm kind of surprised that he does not use any social media, as he is quite the computer wiz)
A car buddy in high school, I talk to every month over the phone. He refuses to come into the computer age, I'm sorry to say.
My best friend of 30+ years, I met after high school, on the CB radio. It's really too bad he is not gay, would have married him in a heart beat, though I did not come out to him until four years ago.
What I guess I'm trying to say is, it's possible to keep long time friends, but it takes effort from all those involved. Who knows, years from now you might reconnect again. Just try hot to burn any bridges with your really close friends, they are the ones that are good to hear from when you get older.

Really want to go see Terminator Genisys, but I don't have anyone I'm comfortable asking to go. None of the friends I would be comfortable asking are around here anymore.

 

I make friends with people I know I can get along with, I try to be cordial and friendly with just about everyone, even the total dickbags at work, because "you catch a lot more flies with honey than vinegar" as they say. getting to know people takes effort, and if you don't want to expend that effort it won't happen. I could write more but I don't want to be a total dick, even though I'm sure a lot of people probably don't like me much.

 

I can see that, yeah. But it's like being told "if you don't use the loom, you won't make any clothes" I know I could be trying harder, but I still have no idea what I'm doing.

 

I prefer the reverse :3.

As for friends/relationships in general: Ideally, you want depth over breadth. Having only a couple of really good friends is fine. Going without either of those (intentionally or accidently) generally sets up the average human for mental disaster.

Preferably relationships that extend beyond the computer screen... hence my quest to meet people. Not that internet friendships are meaningless. In my early 20s, when I played Final Fantasy XI, half the reason I played was the friends I'd made.

On the bright side, Murphy, at least you're aware of this *now*. Somehow I made it to age 26 blissfully alone.

 

Yeah, I've had this awareness since leaving high school and realizing that I didn't keep up with anybody.

 

Spent the last couple days going through one of my favourite artist's favourites on FA. I now have a massive favourite list stretching back 7 years into FA's past!

heheh nice. I find 70% of new artists to follow by going through other artist's favs. Tis a boon

 

I've added a few artists to my list of people to commission by doing that! Once I'm on my feet I'll start building a Paypal float just to jump on slots when they become available.

 

Lol 29 this year and still alone. But thanks to this forum I think I have finally figured out why. Being asexual is one of them.

 

Last 9 years, a long, long 9 years. Between hating the bars in my town and everyone I hit up with a conversation ends up in the friend territory, haven't had much luck.

On a different note, flight got cancelled because of the strikes in Toronto, went from catching a 1pm flight to 7pm.
Won't be in Toronto till past midnight
