Sorry to hear :/. It's the painful reality of pet ownership: You usually outlive them. And it's never easy to take.

Thanks. *hugs* She lived a good life, better than if I didn't take her in as a kitten, but it hurts after all these years of having her in my life.

payday is new power tool day. I also now have all the tools necesary to build shelves in the garage *hint fucking hint family!*

also has a weird day at work, got asked if I was gay again, asked why they thought that and basically they think I'm gay because I'm polite and not always trying to start shit with other people.

I hope so. She was in my room. She was alive when I woke up yesterday, and when we got back from the caverns (I would always check on her after getting home from any distance travel that's out of town), when I went to bed she was gone.

I wish they could somehow make an epoxy gluestick but that would be impossible without it being premixed and it would set up anyway

Just had a game of monopoly end after about an hour. I had my sister out of the game in 20 minutes, then her friend spent the last 40 minutes stalling until she finally gave up.

Also never had a single house on anything but the brown and light blue properties. Never underestimate the cheap property, you can have hotels up and running much faster than the other spaces, and woe betide anyone who's willing to sell you one of the crucial pieces for cheap.

my strategy is to buy as many cheap properties next to each other on one side of the board and just flood them with hotels so if anyone lands on more than one space they're done for

Well, you win when you have a monopoly; when nobody else has any money or property. Alternatively, when everyone else gives up.

Yep, the game has been described as a friendship ender in the same style as Mario Party. It was originally created to highlight the flaws of open capitalism, because it's plain for everyone to see that only one person is having fun at the end of monopoly.

Not in the same way. You win in Mario Party by having the most stars at the end of a certain number of turns. The way you get stars depends on the individual game and map, but it usually involves having lots of coins to either buy them directly or buy items to make getting them easier. Coins only come from three places, mini games, board spaces, and the other players. Typically to win a mini game you end up having to screw the other players over, same goes for getting coins from them.

Getting a star usually changes the conditions other players have to meet to get stars of their own, so it screws over any plans people had formed. There are also ways to steal stars directly from other players, so just getting a lot of them doesn't mean you're safe. Hell, there's one board where everyone starts with a certain number of stars and that's it, no new stars. The only way to win is to screw everyone else over and steal their shit.
