The "Bad Mood" Thread

Yeah, that's the thing. If you're interested in "Oh, what's the best way to shade a star shape?" or "How do you draw a penguin beak realistically?" or something super specific like that, you'll be able to find a tutorial. If you're just interested in generally drawing better, you're not going to find a tutorial because that's something that, unfortunately, can only come with practice.

 

So someone on dA posted a job ad looking for someone who "draws good" and since I kinda know them a bit, and I think I fit that bill, I sent a note. I fully expected to be denied, and I was, on the grounds that I had no experience drawing violence. I responded with:

"Oh well, it was worth a shot. "

To which I got back:

"and you must be a professional artist"

So, I summed up my thoughts about this in a strongly-worded response:

 

I had a great day til I got pulled over for the first time ever, got a speeding ticket and now my roommates are arguing in the other room and the person I really want to talk to right now is asleep. I think I'm just gonna go get Taco Bell and hide under my covers for the rest of the night....

 

Well damn, i thought it was a pretty clever metaphor.

 

So my fridge died. For realsies this time. I have nowhere to put all the stuff, so in this heat I give it at most additional 1 day of being relatively fresh. After that, I'll have to either use all the food, or throw it away. And I have no money whatsoever to repair it or buy another one. Just fucking great. I'm pissed off more than anything now.

 

Man that's so shitty.... Is it your fridge alone or the family fridge?

 

Family one. And the freezer had some food in it as well. I have to admit though, it has served us faithfully for over 10 years, and now silently passed away.

 

Man if I could help I would, I'm just not in a financial position to do it right now ><

I notified them that they sent only a portion of my money and that they still owed me the rest. I know they've seen my message but have yet to respond to it (apparently they sent it but first time they typo'd my paypal and i have a feeling they did it again) e__e. Better get that money by Sunday or I'm doing an AB as well against them (most recent AB is by someone else who commissioned them and didn't get their icon either).

This irks the crap out of me because it's getting closer and closer to the end of my paypal dispute period and even though it's $6, it's still $6 i would be out x__x.

 

Let's just say retail sucks and I think everyone should work retail once in their lives to learn how to treat people properly.

 

Only thing I learned from working retail is to strongly dislike humanity and that being an introvert and almost never leaving the house is a good idea for me.

I just started at a call centre cold calling old ladies for charities. Trust me, we're all the scum of the earth. Even the nice ones will be shitty to pay the bills and how long can we really stay nice when money = being a dick?

 

For as long as the money will rule the world. And it doesn't seem it's gonna ever change... Sometimes you just have to shed out what makes you nice and all, and just become a cold-hearted machine to survive.
And there's saying "do what you like to do!" Yeah, if only that would be an option. Sure, there are some people who can do that, but majority of us is forced to work shitty jobs for shitty pay, just to have something to cook for lunch - either because the dream job is unreachable, or it doesn't pay enough to survive.

 

Been looking forward to my custom Luka for the past month. It finally shipped last week and I had a long boring ,tiring night shift with the toy being my main motivation to get through the night. And now after 1 I paid for FedEx but it was shipped ups, it is now miss sorted and pushed back at least a day. all weekend couldn't move it and it's now in the wrong place 2 hours away but they won't let me go pick it up.sigh and my ankles are swollen. At least the FB order should come tomorrow so maybe it's just miss Fortuna mucking with me.

 

Seems I'm probably not going to Texas this summer after all. Ugh.

 

I didn't hear back from Chuck E Cheese so idk what that is about and now I'm still hunting for a job/gonna have to call CEC back to see if they just forgot to call me and now I'm in debt to my mom for her paying for my credit card bill and my phone and trying to even put myself out there for commissions is just...ugh...I'm depressed over all of this...I kinda wanna cancel my phone service and see if i can use the cheap phone my mom's friend has cause i don't want her paying my phone bill.

*sigh*

 

so... someone from the jail here escaped on Thursday about 6:30AM ( http://www.wtae.com/news/armstrong-county-jail-inmate-escapes/34440846 ). i'm within two miles from the prison. so we lock the doors and everything, my and my boyfriend still out in the camper awhile longer. apparently what happened, he was 'trusted' and was supposed to go get food for the other inmates. but he just kept walking and left. he went to a home of someone he knew, and about 10:30 or so he'd murdered the woman and took off in her truck. report says she was strangled/blunt force trauma. he was in jail for violating probation on a drug charge.

so yeah. sigh. there was both jail escape and homicide within a mile of my home. can't wait till i can move out with my boyfriend. but that won't be awhile.

 

I think im just gonna stop celebrating my birthday all together from this point forward. My day of birth is cursed...
