    Sadly most bronies don't like alicorn OC's cause alicorns are basically the best of every type pony. Alicorns are seen as superior beings in the brony community. So if you class yourself as an Alicorn, you immediately intimidate all the brony fandom in saying that you are better than the common races.
    Now a catchy back story rather than having both a horn and wings will make your character more appealing to others because it is unique and creative. So loses the alicorn title and let those creative juices flow.
