My first meet I attended was mainly consisting of me stressing like never before, then after second or third one I started to feel and behave more freely. And when I organized my first meet, I couldn't even stop my legs from shaking and voice from breaking from all the stress. But it turned out very fine after all, I had great time.

Look up if they have some sorts of online chat - IRC, Google Hangouts, Skype group, whatever, and try to join there. Get to know them.
After all, if things go wrong, you can always back off

ugh today sucked, one of the foremen is still gone since his wife is in the hospital and the other guys on the crew haven't been seen anywhere since friday so now once again I get to drive since no one else fucking can and I get to do the work of 5 people on my own for the foreseeable future. also I found a drunk passed out bum behind a dumpster, he woke up and asked if I could give him a ride to new york and then tried to bribe me with heroine. also found half a 36 brick of beers most likely shoplifted by the street drunks and then they got too sauced to remember where they left them this morning. fun times. also got to pick up and throw away a milk jug literally full to the brim with human shit. when I took lunch some british tourists going to see the canyon blocked me in by parking too close in front of the truck so I couldn't get out with the trailer attached. had to sit there listening to them argue for a while as their angry screaming 4 year old kid is trying to get their attention because he has to pee. when they don't notice he proceeds to just whip it out and piss all over the back seat of their rental car, causing further arguing and anger. when I finally need to get going and ask them if they can please move down a space or two they both decide to vent their frustrations on me, kid is still crying and bitching since he's now in trouble for pissing all over their car, the parents keep yelling at each other and now me and the dad is starting to act like he wants to fight, needless to say I almost ended up beating two foreign tourists. not a fun day at all. I can't wait to quit
