Yes, my capacity to read music sheets is too slow. I'm more likely to learn a whole song by ear than with a score so yeah, I use tabs

When I played guitar, I just played by ear and matched the sounds. I'd turn on the radio to some classic rock, and play along.

 

More like finger exercises and welp, sweep picking when you take it way too far (220bpms or more)

 

This damn fever is only getting worse. I don't mind the hot body temperature, the sneezing, runny nose, shaking a bit. But I can't stand my eyes burning and watering.

got the new blade and guard soldered. did a much better job this time so I'm happy. just gotta go pick up more abrasive buffs for the dremel to fisnish cleaning up the blade and guard and then I can drill for the handle

EDIT: tried fitting it to the handle and realized I accidentally soldered the guard crooked. easy enough to fix, just rest the bottom of the guard on the jaws of a vice, reheat with a torch from the bottom until the solder softens and then square up the blade to the guard with a square and hold until it cools enough to set. just gotta polish off a little heat discoloration on the guard. got the tang drilled and it lines up with the hole in the handle. scalie is happy

 

Pretty upset. I found a female cat today that's so malnourished you can feel every vertebrae on her back, her shoulder blades and even her ribs and hip bones... On top of that, she has kittens somewhere.

It's so disgusting that around here it isn't unusual for someone to dump their cat off when they find out it's pregnant. I saved a kitten 3 years ago because the mom was no where to be found anymore and it was living under the dumpster at the local gas station. People are fucking disgusting.

 

The last neighborhood I lived use to have a problem with stray cats roaming around. Partially because of sweet Ms. Patricia. She wasn't a crazy cat lady, but she did adopt a lot of the strays that roamed the area. I think I counted at least 15 before I moved.

In other news. Every light in my house is off, all the shades are closed, and every screen is dimmed. My headache is gone, and I'm no longer sneezing my lungs out, but my eyes are still very sensitive to light. I'm going to lay down and either let this be the end, or let my immune system do it's thing.

You should get some zinc tablets! They speed up a cold or flu by boosting your immune system (and it works better than vitamin C)

 

I take zinc tablets daily, every morning.

These fevers usually last about a day, but it hits me hard and all at once.

Edit: And now I have tomato soup flavored hiccups. Fantastic.

 

I have a weekend off for once next week but no plans. :/
