Well sky uses bt for their internet provider. BT launched parental locks as default to all their clients accounts. Two months ago, You have to log in and manually disable it. It not you'll just be blocked from anything. Even DA and FA.

 

Yeah, I disabled that as soon as it became default and that always came up with an information page anyway. Even so, that was just a parental filter, not a legally preventative one.

I've faffed around some more and BD and Tumblr are working again, but BD forums are still a no-go. I can't even connect directly through IP, because that just takes me to the server's working confirmation page.

 

@AkaiKitsune Did you call them to opt-in to porn sites?

 

No, we haven't had to do that yet, thank fuck.

I just think it's funny because I imagine them getting like 10,000 calls per day asking for porn.

The thing is that it's just completely unreasonable to expect such a system to work in the first place. There are so many sites that have safe and nsfw content on them, so you can't just blanket ban certain sites. And trigger words don't work either, because a lot of non-porn sites use those words in completely innocent contexts.

When David Cameron went to have our national firewall developed, he went to the best people in the industry, the ones who developed China's firewall. They told him "what you want to do just isn't technically possible. We can't do that", to which Cameron basically said "well I'll get someone else to do it then". Like, these assholes literally have no idea how the internet works. I can tell you from experience with computer legalities, judges and ministers have absolutely no technical comprehension whatsoever. I've come across these people who actually think that parts of the internet can be turned on and off at a whim.

 

Nothing wrong with that. Bit of a fantasy of mine (though I might be a tad too big >_>)

I got another blue screen error on my computer, but it showed a little "google this error when I wake up" message.

First result I found was "Oh, you could have a corrupted OS!"

and I'm like "fuck"

but then I find a reddit thread where that error was mentioned and they say "I think I tracked it down to this specific wifi adapter" and sure enough it was the one I had.

I updated the driver, so hopefully that fixes it. It's freaking terrifying because if I'm watching a video it goes "hey, so the other day I- BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR"

That'd be the biggest nightmare ever... Getting a tattoo anywhere for me is a huge no no, I'm terribly phobic of needles. That would be about as bad as it gets.

As for a doctor seeing it, it'd be kinda funny actually!

 

I now have a new dangerous finger eating tool to play with. power buffer for the win! always make sure to trim loose threads because if they manage to wrap around your fingers they can tear them right off (just like what happened to one of my mom's old friends)
now I can finish some things I've been waiting on for a while.

also got more leather scraps, now I can start on some stuff a friend wanted me to make them. a few watch bands and a wallet

 

Well, I was suppose to be asleep seven hours ago as I have a two hour drive ahead of me in a few hours up to Gainesville to help paint my grandmother's new house.

Never thought I'd be excited to paint.

 

I just keep getting angrier and angrier. I fucking hate this day.

The only things I seem to be good at involve my sex life and being nice to people. And failing at anything I try. I'm starting to think I'm actually incapable of learning.
