Why you all leaving?

 

Tonight I get to see most of my Haunt family, including my new vampire clan family. In about 3.5 hours I'll be heading out due to storms in the area, plus an hour drive down there. Can't wait to see everyone again, since most live to the south, and I live to the north. Also to welcome the fresh meat, I mean new people.

 

Cause we either find better jobs or we're sick and tired of being treated like dog-shit sandwiches by our managers. I'm pretty sure our Store manager (the main guy in the store) is completely bipolar, because one minute he'll be fine, then next he fucking fires someone for some stupid ass reason. It makes it kind of hard to want to go to work when no matter what you do it's never good enough.

My boyfriend is going through the exact same thing as you right now. He's been working as a cook there for YEARS, but one a group of 3 brothers bought the business, it's been hell. Originally they fired him, realized they needed him, so called him up and begged him to come back. He should have never done so.
Every day he comes home in a rotten mood now, and I give him lots of special attention until he feels better. They took away his day shift hours slowly, and when he asked them about it, they refused to give him any days back. They treat him like shit, and the youngest brother even goes so far as to actually stalk our house. We see him driving by constantly when he has no reason to. A few times he has blown an airhorn in front of our house. I told Dylan that if it happens again, they are getting the police called on them. I don't fucking feel safe with that kind of bullshit.
He's been filling out applications at other places...so fingers crossed that he can leave that shithole soon. :/


In other news, I actually feel a lot better today o: But that doesn't really mean much because I've been on and off sick for the past week and a half now. I've never had a sickness that came and went. Is this normal? xD

 

Annoyed with people in general today. Can it be 3:30 yet?

 

The parents of the very first kid I ever worked with through my organization contacted me yesterday, asking if I would attend her funeral. Shit.

 

Jobs are just getting harder in general as companies are trying to be the most efficient towards their customers while trying to pay the staff as little as possible.

It has gotten to the stage now where companies know that they can run you into the ground and treat you like shit. All because they know you are to scared to lose you job and not be able to survive to keep a roof over your head and food in your bellies.

So thanks to all the governments fuck up everything to keep their own pockets lined with cash has made the genral public suffer.

Again I work 7 hours straight without a break my lower back and legs suffered for it.

 

Aaaaaaaaaand my car decides to not want to car today.

Had something similar happen to the child I was a Big Brother for.

Got a call that he was in the hospital due to his cancer becoming terminal. Hits you hard getting a call for something like that.

 

I know that feeling all too well. someone at the grocery store in front of me just didn't quite seem to grasp that you can't buy booze with food stamps even when the cashier explained it to them about 5 times

 

Ugh . Shitty feeling.

Speaking of work: One place I'm applying for is asking for "minimum salary requirements," in the application itself. The job title (Rail Car cleaning) is just too ambiguous for the internets to find a salary range (searches tend to find salaries for internal cleaning; similar to janitors) and this position is external + other railroad-related things. So I'm a little stumped on what to put as my minimum.

 

Just finished moving/settling in to my new university halls. It's kinda luxurious for student accommodation but I don't really like it, I prefer my previous place. I already said that I don't deal well with change, good or bad. Pluses are the comfort, the fact that it's literally right next to the university, the kitchen/living room is massive and there's only two of us per flat and my flatmate hasn't moved in yet. However, there's less space than my last place, the shower is fucking tiny and makes me claustrophobic, the only desk I have is too small and the chair hurts my back. Oh, and it's costing me £20 a week more than the other one.

Although, I do have a double bed now...

So what you're saying is that my brain is telling me that it believes me getting laid is unrealistic?

In other news, I want all the food. I remember in the Sims, you had the option to cook food that was literally called "Food".

yeah, first kid I tried to help winds up being the first one I fail. go figure. she wanted to work in animal preservation, was supposed to do a lot of great things for the world. Damn it, I need to be a hell of a lot better for these kids. I ain't standing for this shit.

Two more job apps submitted... as for my earlier dilemma, I just asked for a starting salary similar to other starting position salaries. Seems fair.
