    The funny thing is we were all black at one point. It's a more dominant gene. Why do you think when a white n black person have a child the child is always black or a mix?

    Maybe we should point that out to people that we all came out of Africa.

    Most of those people believe that carbon dating is false. I doubt they would believe anything as logical as humans originating in Africa.

    he's probably the only person in his neighborhood with any ambition to try to make a better life for himself. he's just waiting until he can start applying to film schools since he wants to study cinematography and possibly be a director someday

    most people don't even understand the concept that geographical locations tend to favor different skin tones due to the level of UV radiation exposure and the destructive effect UV has on folic acid and its key role in the development of the nervous system during pregnancy. (folic acid deficiency is a major contributor to spina bifida) it's an adaptation to allow for more successful reproduction, any percieved meaning given to it, positive or negative, comes from the culture built around it

    You all have very understandable fears, unlike me.
    I'm afraid that it will happen one day the same that happened to scalie. Someone either black or homosexual trying to approach me and reply to my negative with "Are you racist/homophobe?". It bothers me because I have a light-to none predilection for white people and well... I'm not gay XDDDDDDDDD
    I like boobies and I'm obsessed with Victorian white. For fuck's sake, my ideal of beauty is Kuja from FFIX XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
    Though, I'll tell you something funny which is kinda and kinda not related.
    When in my second relationship, another girl known to my girlfriend tried to blackmail us because my girlfriend's parents were a bit... strict, so we were waiting for the moment to tell them. The deal was "if you have sex with me, I won't tell anyone", being a fat, unpleasant, not good looking, and overall bitch, the response was clearly "no". So I blackmailed her because I knew who she was in love with. After we got to tell to my girlfriend's parents that we were couple, I didn't hesitated... I told the guy, and showed the conversation to the girl. Best vengeance ever :yaoming:

    @scalie I know what you're saying scalie, but when you walk down the street and look at people, how many targets can you spot on each of them. Its not often you can look at a person and instantly know their religion, sexuality, political affiliation, etc but for me and your friend, our race is the most visible and non concealable target. I have to say though, putting yourself at risk to be a good friend to him is really ballsy of you :>

    @Reptile That was beautiful ; o ; thanks reppy <3

    true, though I usually get singled out for my appearance whenever I do try to engage with groups working towards positive changes. I always find it funny that groups on campus working towards 'inclusion' and 'encouraging an open deiscussion on sexuality/race/gender/whatever' like to discriminate before you even really say anything.

    about 6' 2", tan cracker, beard, short to medium length hair, glasses, usually a calm expression, usually a t shirt and jeans. nothing I would consider threatening, I only get annoyed and grumpy towards someone when they start that way with me. I try to be as polite as possible, reasonable manners

    I dunno, when I think of a tall white guy who spends a lot of time bashing on feminists and just told a black woman that he experiences prejudice for his appearance, I don't think it's too surprising that groups trying to push a socially progressive agenda aren't all that welcoming. Maybe it's not so much that you're white as it is that you're approaching social change from entirely the wrong perspective. Your job as a socially aware person is not to spend all your time tearing down the easy, poorly-constructed targets but to build up the cause and actually try to put more into it than you take away from it. I can't think of one positive thing you've said about feminism or social justice here. That kind of imbalance simply has to be present in your real life if it's so completely dominant here. Maybe you don't think there's anything wrong with the way you approach the issues of women's rights, equality, racism, and sexuality, but as somebody who is the very definition of "privileged" I'm not sure you're the one who can say if you're doing it right.

    Not to possibly start anything, but white male doesn't always equate to definition of privilege. Someone I was close to for a long time was a 6'2" fit ginger (the epitome of whiteness) and never had any privilege thrown his way. He grew up on the poverty line and was struggling to get out of it, no income but grants didn't cover school tuition, he was frequently targeted by strangers for being a male ginger and by police for apparently looking suspicious. Just my two cents.

    I understand that but there's a lot to be said for attitude. II just think if you're approaching social justice with a dismissive attitude you're likely to ignore the problem and focus on the people. The problems are real even if some people aren't so good at making the case.
