My niece and nephew stayed the night. My brother and sister-inlaw were supposed to have been here at 7 to help cook a full course turkey dinner. They didn't show until noon. That meant that I had to prepare damn near everything and cook breakfast because my mom can't bend or lift over 5 lbs because of back surgery. My dad has a hole in his foot from an infection and has a hard time moving around on crutches. So here I am cooking cleaning and taking care of two adults and two kids. Only one is potty trained

I am royally pissed.

 

lmfao, Gamergaters are getting pissed off and upset because a single dubbed line in the ecchi anime Prison School insults them. They're calling it "cultural appropriation" and "oppression", demanding an apology from FUNimation and boycott of Prison School.

Also, Anita Sarkeesian and Zoe Quinn have made a report and proposal to the UN to blanket ban violent video games and associated media, as well as widespread censorship of the internet to "protect women against the tide of online harassment." Said report's citations are mostly either laughably unprofessional, dead URL links and even links to files on the writer's C:\ drive.

I was not prepared for an onslaught of both sides of extreme stupidity today...

 

Got most of my house work down. Might get Taken King digital and finish my office room.

So the first half of my trip went well. Good party, I didn't crash in a blaze of sleep deprivation on the way home in the morning. Semi got a nap in. Will be heading out for bowling soon but the tiredness has caught up with me again. May have to resort to caffeine overdose.

 

That's pretty much it. She got positive reviews on her videogame from a guy that was going out with her. Break up, personal info war, drama, blah blah blah.
She bitches, gamers bitch, everybody bitchs. Sounds annoyingly bitchy.

 

Then what the hell is the scandal, it is two Jackass's trying to ruin each other

 

I wouldn't consider Sarkeesian or Quinn to be feminists. Nothing they do seems to be for the benefit of anyone else.

 

And gamers bitching about women being favoured and what not. Yes. You've got it.

It doesn't matter what you think. It matters what they think, because they are important.

 

A couple broke up, and the dude posted a long whiny post about how awful the woman is. As a result, she received a massive amount of harassment (including but not limited to death threats and rape threats) from so-called "men's rights activists", and I think they also tracked down her personal info so she got threats via phone and snail mail. Basically an enormous one-sided harassment campaign against a female game developer based on her ex throwing a tantrum and making baseless accusations.
Even if she did any of the shit he claimed, it does NOT warrant having an army of internet trolls ruin her life. :/

should aslo add how anti gamer-gaters have started calling in bomb threats to bars and public events set up by gamergate people to try to get some factual representation from the media. overall it's a huge clusterfuck, yeah there's some discrimination, so sorry, and yeah there's some bullshit corruption, actually a lot of it, within the industry and the associated gaming press, once again so sorry but at this point it's turned into a major portion of one side and a small portion of the other, most likely trolls, that have gotten into an ever escalating war based on ideology of how games should be made/played and who should make/play them. either way I'm gonna keep playing games and I'm pretty sure anyone with half a functioning brain in power that isn't trying to kiss ass to get power will be able to see through anything that gets plopped their desk if they actually read it and not just hand it off to a staffer to read and make the decision.

also iy's probably obvious I'm pretty fucking pissed today, woke up to find an email from the parents of my friend in LA and he's in the hospital because he got jumped again and now has a massive concussion, fractured skull, some broken ribs, and his shoulder is all kinds of jacked up. if I could find the little fucks that did this shit to him...

 

Had a nice relaxing clean and played with some essential oils. My nethers are now lavender scented for the night.

 

Spent the day with a friend, fooling around, walking the city, seeing all the cool stuff! Had hipster district sandwiches and cupcakes, walked through the crafts festival, wandered through several parks, saw Louis Riel's grave, and enjoyed some smoothies on the way back.
