Well, not so much posting about themselves, just filling out small shit like sidebar information and an "about me" page. Pretty much everyone I follow has stuff like that, it just makes that page more personal IMO.

On a similar note, I really have trouble keeping a consistent username across the internet and it drives me crazy. They're either really unoriginal, I don't feel it suits me or someone else has taken it (and usually not done anything with it). Hell, this one was only so people would recognise me from the BD forums, and that was just a quick throwaway one that wouldn't be linked to my other usernames. Argh, I don't know, I put waaay too much thought into usernames, but they can be a personal thing, you know?

 

I've had the same username for yeeeeeeeeeeeeears. Its really just part of my rl name with Miss in front of it :B
if you type it into google images, you'll get a bunch of photos of a large (I think middle eastern) movie director, though his name is spelled Mysskin

 

I don't like my IRL name so I don't really want to use it for anything. I sort of grew out of my first main username and I'm having trouble sticking with one right now.

I know what you mean. A lot of them are pretty much the same statements structurally speaking, just with different buzzwords thrown in.

 

I just want to see one artist's statement say something like "yeah, I draw weird naked monster ladies or trees with faces because they turn me on" lol, instead it's always some kind of "social commentary on the percieved illusions of the self and human interaction in the distorting lens of modern X dominated society"

 

I drawn pony porn because butts and horsecocks, and for the pleasure of my fans. My drawings don't turn me on.

My brother had to do those for his art course at college. Thing is, they wouldn't let him just write "I drew this because I like dragons" or w/e. He had to write something pretentious about the "deeper meaning" in order to have his work pass.
